Great city experience

Good city tour and it took you to the main spots, a little tight on time as we were unable to visit the market at the end. Tour guide was very good English speaker who engaged well with the tour group. Good priced tour and worth doing if you have the half day free and want to see the city

Perfect quick tour

I needed a quick tour to take in some sights without any fuss. This was the perfect solution. Riding around as a passenger on a scooter is also a fun experience.

A good enough tour.

The interpreter was okay, but she can improve. The places we went to were worth it. But the good thing was that the group was small, so there was no need to wait for thr others for much of the time.

Excellent Tour to kick off HCM

We arrived in Ho Chi Minh the night before we went on this excellent tour. Our tour guide was Sinnie and she was a lovely young lady with excellent English speaking skills. Sinnie had excellent knowledge of the various landmarks in HCM and a very vibrant personality to make our tour both very interesting and entertaining. We have never been to Vietnam before and this tour with Sinnie was the best way to start. It was a full 4 hours with no shortcuts and really helped us to get our bearings in HCM. Pick up and drop off at our hotel. Make sure you book this tour early in your visit to HCM.

A very informative tour

We had a late night flight out of HCMC and booked this tour for the afternoon before our departure. Another couple was booked into the tour with us but cancelled at the last minute and so we essentially had a private tour. Our tour guide was Larry and he was brilliant. He provided us with a lot of information on the places of interest we visited and spoke excellent English. The tour included stops at the Independence Palace, the War Remnants Museum, the Central Post Office and the Emperor Jade Pagoda. Unfortunately, the Notre Dame Cathedral is currently undergoing renovation and so we were unable to visit it. However, in lieu of this we would have appreciated perhaps slightly more time at the War Museum. The exhibits are extremely moving and powerful and we wished we could have dedicated more than an hour there in order to view them all in greater detail. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel and the minivan was comfortable and clean. My only issue would be that the full description of the itinerary on Viator states that an optional lunch or dinner would be provided at the Hủ Tíu Noodle Shop, however this was never mentioned to us during the tour. If this is no longer part of the itinerary, then I suggest that the tour description be updated as it may be misleading for customers. Overall though, we enjoyed our tour of the city, which allowed us to see all the major points of interest before we left HCMC, and would recommend this tour.

Rushed tour

We had the chance to do the tour in private; the only tourist were my husband and I. We had a great driver; he kept the car cool, dropped us and picked us up at the main entrance and got out of the car to open the door for me to get in and out of the car. Very helpfull. Our guide was Harry (not his vietnamese name). He presented himself as an international tour guide upon getting in the car and explained the visits we would do. He mentionned that he would tell us about the vietnsmese history along the way and visits. Since we were only 2, he gave us the choice of the itinerary. The first visit was at the Independance Palace. Harry did part of the visit with us, showing us and explaining some parts/room of the palace, this was very nice. After that, he gave us about 30 min to complete the visit on our own. This was a great visit. After that, we went to see the post office, Harry didn't provide much information there and to be quite honnest, there ain't much too see as this beautifull colonial building which is still being use as a post office also is the home of many gift shops as you would find everywhere in Ho Chi Minh. Next stop was the War Remnant Museum which is definitely a must. Unfortunately, the time allowed for the visit wasn't long enough and accompaniement by our guide Harry was lacking. He only came in the museum with us to show us the map of the different exibits. Be aware, this museum, like the Independance Palace doesn't have AC or if it does, it really isn't efficient. Last visit, Ben Than Market. Most famous one in Ho Chi Minh. Our guide explained the 4 gates and strongly suggested us to negociate and not buy after the 1st asking price. You can find almost anything there but be carefull, it's crowded. In all, the tour was suppose to last 4h30 but it only took us like 3h so we feel like we could have stayed longer at the Palace and War Museum. Also, Harry tried to cheat us by shortening the trip. He was only going to drop us at the market. Also, did I mentionned that they didn't have to pick us up or drop us at the hotel? He showed up at the agency. Harry the guide was friendly and very polite but we feel like he could have given us more explanation and spoken a better english as after all, he calls himself an international tour guide. Over all, we had the chance to learn more about Vietam but feel like we could have got more out of this excursion which explains the 3/5 note.

Great tour! Asiana Link Travel, Sinni (coordinator), Stark (our guide) ALL were amazing! I was in continuous contact with someone from the time i booked the tour to the day of the tour via whatsapp. Our cruise ship was delayed with disembarkment but Stark ensured he was aware and patiently waiting for us at the meeting gate for the start of our tour. We learned so much about Vietnam history and culture with a very personal touch for my family/group of 10. Stark even got us authentic Vietnamese coffee to end our tour. I cannot say enough of the up and above service from everyone that helped with this tour. I strongly recommend this tour and tour company!

Great tour - best to do in the morning

Great tour to see all the main historical sites. Good pace, knowledge guide and most importantly a nice cool mini van as it was exceptionally hot. Might be better to do it in the morning as the afternoon heat was very tiring.

We packed a lot into the 4 hours and had a really knowledgeable guide. We only had one day in the City after a late flight in, so the 4 hr your was perfect. Tea, our guide, was prompt, efficient and spoke great English. She gave us a rich and detailed picture of the City’s history and culture.

Nice tour, high cost

Amazing sights of this bustling and historic city, as well as a super friendly & knowledgeable tour guide. All admission tickets were included. That being said, I feel the tour was very overpriced since most all the sites were either driveby or the tour guide waiting for you at the van while you toured on your own. Interesting that a full day Delta and Tunnel tour was a third of the price of a 3.5 hour tour. Perhaps was because it was just me on the city tour. All in all, still a good experience, just very pricy for what I got and the total tour time.
