This food tour was a highlight of our stay in Vietnam. Our tour guide, Long, was friendly and full of information about history, culture and the food we were eating. This tour took us to a variety of great local places and introduced us to Vietnamese meals and snacks that we wouldn’t have otherwise had the knowledge or confidence to try. Walking between locations also provided an opportunity to explore the streets and learn more about the districts of Ho Chi Minh City. Overall this was a fantastic experience and a highly recommend as a must-do activity!

Fantastic experience, not only was the food great but Hao also weedo out of his way to help us see the "real" Saigon, showing us how people live, work and play in the city. We ate everything from savory pancakes to noodles to flan, exploring alleys and markets on foot and getting food from businesses that are neighborhood cornerstones and have been there for decades. Thank you Hao for a great tour!

In my opinion, local food is very important to know as much as famous sites. We really went in areas where alone there is no chance to get there. We really tasted a lot of different dishes ( you better come with an empty stomach) and got all the appropriate explanations

This was an excellent Food Walking tour with our guide Mai, a student warm in personality and proficient in English. She took us to Districts 3 and 4 and we tried a number of local delicacies to leave us totally satisfied. She even arranged for some sweet wafers and chips for us to take home. As it was the lead up to the a Lunar New year, Mai took us to the bustling flower markets which was awash in colour. She also explained some of the social issues in Saigon, and showed us the apartments that once housed US soldiers in the war, now the homes to locals ekeing out simple and honest lives. If you want to sample great Vietnamese food and also get a feel for Saigon you cannot go wrong with this tour. If you get Mai you are in for a bonus,

It was pouring rain for our tour but Minh was fantastic and soldiered on, even stood in the rain trying to hail a taxi for us. The food was great but Minh was better. Recommend this tour. Just hope the weather is better.
