Pickup details

Hotel pick-ups commence approximately 40 minutes before listed start time/tour departure time. If you selected a hotel pick-up, you will receive a separate email from the tour operator. Please check your emails for the confirmed hotel pick-up time. You will receive the email within 24hrs of booking. For bookings made after closing time for the following day, you will receive your email confirming pick up details the following morning, at least 2 hrs prior to departure. Please be waiting at your hotel pick-up location 5 mins prior to your confirmed pick-up time. Not all pick-up locations are directly at the hotel. The exact pick-up location will be provided in the email sent from the tour operator. If a hotel has not been selected, your pick-up will be confirmed as Brooke St Pier, 12 Franklin Wharf, Hobart (central departure point) at 9.00am.

Cplin our driver was excellent, friendly, knowledgeable, informative and humorous> The views from Mount Wellington are stunning. One disappointment is that we only drove past the 'Womens Factory' but didn't visit which I would have liked to have done. All in all highly recommend

Instructions on where to pick up coach from port terminal were very good. Colin the bus driver and commentator was brilliant. Views from the mountain were stunning and worth the visit

We did this experience with a group of Intellectually Disabled adults, and we couldn't believe it when we saw snow on Mt.Wellington. Many of them had never seen snow, which was very exciting. It was only a half day tour, so we saw a few of the Hobart sights, but it left our afternoon free, and we had time to go to Mawson's Hut.

The view was amazing but the Driver was not friendly at all and we could not hear anything he was saying at the back. Would do the tour again but not with the same driver

Mark was great. He took care to stop at a few extra lookouts in case the visibility wasn't great, but we lucked out! Perfect if you have a short time in hobart

Too little time

The start of the tour was a bit confusing. We were on a cruise ship and there was no clear information about the pickup point. We had to ask several people. In the end, we left later than scheduled, and I felt like the driver tried to make up for lost time and I felt rushed at the different stops. We were fortunate in the weather and there were moments of clear skies to enjoy the fabulous view. Unfortunately, we were only allowed 15 minutes at the top which had to include a trip to the bathroom.. on the way down we had a brief stop at the brewery, but again we were only allowed a brief stop to take a picture. I I felt, that none of this was the driver’s fault. He was in frequent contact with the organizers and was told he had another group he had to get back for. In light of all that, the tour was disappointing.

Don’t go if the weather is poor

Because of fog we could not see the city from Mt. Wellington. The driver Phil then drive to another area for a view, but then he said there was no time to visit the gardens or the factory. This tour was a disappointment!

Highly recommend this tour to see Mt Wellington! Our guide Colin was fantastic, friendly & very knowledgeable on Hobart & surrounds. Can be quite chilly on top of the mountain so rug up. Great photo opportunity, our skies were bright blue & sunny with clouds coming across & we also saw snow!

Mount Wellington clear day!

The most amazing weather and very knowledgeable tour guide. She explained the history of some of the neighbourhoods on the way up to the mountain. Apparently it was one of the best days that Mt Wellington had had for a long time. It was 9 degrees centigrade and I didn’t even need a beanie or gloves!

Didn’t start well as the communication about pickup was unclear, and ambiguous, and the bus had no sign which made it difficult to find at the ferry terminal. However, once on the tour it was great. We were lucky to have perfect weather for it.

Carmel the driver was excellent. She was warm and engaging, told good and humerous stories and was a very safe driver. It was a brilliant experience, great weather, fab views. Thankful for the tour.

Great tour guide although it was cloudy on Mt Wellington is was an incredible atmosphere. Really worth the trip loved the rock formations. I chose this tour because I only wanted a morning out of my itinerary and it worked well.
