Winter visit may not be worth it.

Our trip was taken in the off season (DECEMBER 30, 2023). 1. The tour company and driver were great - 5 stars. 2. The Neuschwanstein is beautiful - BUT the walk through tour is very, very rushed. One group right after another. Look but don't touch - keep moving! Castle - 5 stars. Walk-through - 2 stars. 3. The grounds of the Linderhof were completely closed for the winter. I wasn't expected green plants, BUT I was expecting to still be able to see the fountains and statues. Unfortunately all the fountains and statues were completely covered. Note sure I saw anything about that in the tour's description.

Regarding your experience at Linderhof, we apologize for any disappointment caused by the closure of the grounds and the inability to view the fountains and statues. Unfortunately, during the winter months, especially in late December, certain outdoor features are inaccessible due to freezing temperatures - the water is frozen. Due to the cold temperatures old statues are getting covered everywhere in Europe where you have these cold temperatures. Great tour from Innsbruck!

It was always a dream to see Neuschwanstein castle and it didn’t disappoint! There were no tickets available to tour inside but we decided to go anyway. There are lots of opportunities to see it from different angles and get up close to it. We really enjoyed the tour inside Linderhof which is an amazing place. The tour provided great information on King Ludwig. Patrick our guide was very friendly and helpful. Overall, a great day!!
