What To Expect
Your guide picks you up in the morning at your hotel, the airport, or the train station.
Travel in a private air-conditioned vehicle to one of India’s largest forts, Mehrangarh Fort. Your guide explains the history of its construction and the skilled sculptors that decorated the intricate sandstone palaces.
Continue to Jaswant Thada, a 19th-century marble monument that pays tribute to Maharaja Jaswant Singh II, a former Marwar ruler. Stop by three other historic sites nearby then take a break for a buffet lunch.
In the afternoon, visit Umaid Bhawan Palace and the palace museum, which showcases weapons, trophies, clocks, and tableware from the Maharaja and royal family. Hear about the history of the palace and its use as the royal family’s residence in modern times. Move on to see the city’s historic clock tower and open-air Sardar Market. Stroll through the market to check out the produce, clothing, bangles, and housewares for sale.

Excellent, comprehensive day tour of Jodhpur. The guide Sandeep Singh was exceptional! He clearly explained each site we visited in a manner that kept us well informed and he easily answered our questions. We would highly recommend visitors to Jodhpur to request Sandeep Singh as their guide!

First stop was a guided tour of the amazing Mehrangarh fort. Excellent views over the blue city. Then on to Jaswant Thada, a memorial to the maharajas. Next was Umaid Bhawan Palace, an enormous ex palace, now one of the most prestigious hotels in the world. The guide then took us to an excellent restaurant for a tali lunch. This was followed by a walk to the clock tower, and then Toorjis stepwell as requested by us. The guide was a very pleasant and knowledgeable man, with beautiful manners. What a great tour! Our guide, Sandeep Goyal, was wonderful. He was full of information and very proud of his city which was one of our favorite cities. Sandeep was very accommodating and flexible. We couldn't of had a better tour, guide, or driver. I highly recommend all 3!
