      Mark was a wonderful guide and driver. Provided great recommendations and was friendly and extremely accommodating. Mark made our entire day very enjoyable and comfortable. I would def recommend this tour and service. Great tour and service if you have limited time in Kyoto and want to visit all the great must see spots.

      This was a great private tour, Princess and her husband were excellent hosts. This was a nice combination of getting private transportation and local insight as well as letting us tour the locations at our own pace. We were able to cram a lot of sightseeing into one day because of this tour, as well as obtain some local knowledge from locals. My only hang up with this tour was how awkward I felt having them wait at the car for us to finish touring a location, but they assured us it was fine (I suppose it was what we were paying them to do, but it still felt weird). If you want to see a lot in one day, I recommend this tour!

      Great tour of a highlights of Nara and Kyoto. Steven was knowledgeable and tailored the tour to our needs as we spent more or less time at some of the sites. He even picked us up from our hotel in Osaka upon request. We saw Nara park and the deer, Todai-ji temple, Kinkaku-ji Golden Temple and Fushimi Inari Taisha the orange gates. Highly recommend this tour!

      Stephen was a fantastic tour guide. Extremely thoughtful in getting us to the right places and helping us navigate thru all the crowds of people! He was also mindful that we were traveling with kids and to makes sure they had snacks to enjoy the day! We would highly recommend him!

      We were assigned to San, he was fantastic! So friendly and knows about the area, even though he’s not a “guide.” We saw more than we ever could have covered on our own. If you have a short time in Kyoto, are traveling with people who will have trouble with mass transit, or just want a relaxed day, it’s a great choice. Ask for Sam!

      Our driver was kind but his first words to us is that he doesn’t speak English. I paid for a guided tour in English. What I got was a driver for the day. Ardon was kind and a good driver but that wasn’t what I paid for. I would have booked a large group tour to be able to find out historical facts and basic information about where we were going. I know we wouldn’t have been able to have guides on sight but some information on the drive there would have been nice, especially for the price!!!!! Shame on this company. Be honest on how you write your description.

      We booked a private tour through Kyoto and Nara with Viator, and Viator gave us a lousy tour guide, named Steven. Steven did NOT talk or present any information about the sights we were seeing along the tour, and instead hurried and rushed us which did not give us enough time to explore or take photos of the sights. Steven also at one point had walked so far ahead without giving us a chance to catch up to him, and instead only to look back at us for a few seconds and keep walking further. The only time Steven talked was to narcissistically share his personal life, and also his inappropriate judgmental opinions on Japanese and Chinese people which we did NOT need to hear. Beware when you see Steven listed as your guide in your reservation, and promptly CANCEL your tour, and just handle the sight-seeing yourself or with another friend who knows the area and can show you around. It is not worth the price you're paying for, especially since the booking is VERY EXPENSIVE!

      I traveled with my daughter and 4 grandsons age 5-14. Steven our guide was wonderful and knowledgeable . The kids loved the deer in Nara. We visited the Temple in Nara as well which was very interesting. Back in Kyoto we saw many sights including the bamboo forest and the Torri gates. We enjoyed the Kimuno forest as well . Stephen guided us to a great place for lunch where everyone enjoyed their food!

      Our guide/owner of the company was awesome! Very knowledgeable with the sites and exceptionally personable as well! No problems communicating and getting ourselves to the sites. Steven was a great photographer to boot, taking several great photos of my family! Would absolutely recommend Steven and his company to anyone without any hesitation! Will hit him up again when I head back to Japan next year or the following!

      We did this tour on 2nd Jan....SUPER BUSY EVERYWHERE and spent a long time just navigating traffic. Kelvin kindly picked us from our hotel in Osaka as requested so we did Nara deer park and Todai-ji temple first. Very enjoyable for our kids, bring lots of loose Yen coins to do lots of offerings and prayers at the sites as well as to buy biscuits to feed the deer. The deer are always hungry so expect to be nudged if they smell food on you. Not a guided tour though so we found information ourselves through pamphlets and english signs. Kyoto is beautiful and very traditional feel, the building workmanship as expected is breathtaking and must be seen in real life. Worth doing the immersion, but perhaps better photo opportunities on a less busier day.
