10,056 reviews

One of Kyoto’s most sacred temples and among the oldest Shinto shrines in Japan, the Fushimi Inari Shrine (Fushimi Inari Taisha) is dedicated to Inari, the God of rice. The shrine’s five magnificent temples lie at the foot of the Inari mountain, and thousands of red torii gates (the Senbon torii) mark the forested trails to the top.

Fushimi Inari hike
This was a great way to see a very popular shrine without the crowds. We also got to see bamboo. Where shoes with tread as tour is a true hike at times.

Learning about religion and history in this tour
My experience on this tour was fantastic, Robert told us about history and the mitology of japan, someone from the group also participated doing part of the ritual to find the right person in one of the temples, I highly recommend this tour

A great experience
The guide, Jewell was great. Gave great knowledge and was really easy to speak too! She gave us freedom to go explore but also gave us enough information to really enjoy our day.
