Perfect family adventure

We had a great experience with our 6 and 3 year old! Jose was a fabulous tour guide and we saw lots of wildlife including iguanas, toucans, kingfisher birds, porcupine, basilisque lizard, among others. The part on the River was about 2 hours and slightly too long for my kids but we all really enjoyed it and the snacks at the end were a nice treat!

Our family had a fantastic time on this float. Our guide Joshua was very kind and had nice conversations with all of us. He also steered us from getting stuck where other boats did get stuck. There was plenty of wildlife along the float for us to see. My favorite part was in a river bend there were a bunch of hidden monkeys that started hollering at us. It was spooky and funny at the same time.

This is honestly the best excursion we’ve done in our 3 trips to Costa Rica. It was peaceful and we got to see so many animals in their natural environment. We took our 3 kids and saw people with kids as young as toddlers and all seemed to enjoy it. Our guide was Joe Dan and he was awesome.

Great tour for families with young children

A wonderful trip for families with young children. Our family of five (mom, dad, and three boys ages 8, 6, and 3) really enjoyed this excursion. It was a relaxed boat ride and the older boys enjoyed helping to row the boat. Our guide was so easy going and knowledgeable. We saw many different animals including howler monkeys, spider monkeys, toucan’s, river otters, tiger heron, egret, blue heron, iguanas, basilisk lizards and a large array of native vegetation. After the boat tour we enjoyed the snacks and drinks and the chocolate demonstration. A wonderful tour that was well organized and enjoyable for the whole family!

Excellent experience for my kids and us parents. Our guide Christopher made sure we find animals for everyone to see and for us close to howler monkeys, capuchins monkeys, went under a tree to show us the tiniest little bats I’ve ever seems, a cayman. He was fun, entertaining and knew about a lot about the birds in the area. Sure made our ride social! Highly recommend!

We enjoyed seeing the birds and monkeys. We had never heard the howler monkeys and it was amazing hearing them roar!

This was hyped up but did not live up. We saw some birds but overall it was just a fliat down the river. Although somewhat friendly, our anchor/guide wasn’t equipped to handle English speaking clients.

The overall knowledge that our guide, Werner possesses is amazing. Him and his colleagues took the time to share additional information about the habitat of all the reptiles and animals that are native to Costa Rica. The pace is appropriate for being conducive to conversation and easy paddling so all can attend.

Perfect low exertion activity! We surprisingly saw a lot of animals as the weather was perfect (not raining, partially cloudy and not sweltering hot). We saw toucans, crocodiles, capybara, herons, bats, porcupine, ALOT of white faced monkeys and very loud howler monkeys! To top it off, we even saw a sloth! Wonderful day well spent!

It was great tour to see diverse wildlife along the river. We saw monkeys, crocodiles, snakes, many different shorebirds and even a pair of owls. The guide was very helpful and informative. We enjoyed the lunch and chocolate preparation in the end. But seeing all the wildlife was definitely the highlight!

The ride down the river was lovely and we saw lots of wildlife. Our guide, Fau(?), was great - very knowledgeable and keen for us to ask questions. The chocolate talk at the end felt a bit unnecessary and the organisation/logistics was fairly poor before the trip. Hotel pickup was confirmed very last minute.

The whole adventure was extremely well organized and everyone spoke great English. Jose our guide was excellent there was very little paddling to do and along the route he showed us various animals including crocodiles birds and monkeys. The refreshments at the end and the quick cocoa education were a nice touch. In all a great experience and well worth doing 👍👍
