Super great tour! Our guide was very knowledgeable on all things coffee and chocolate, you get to sample plenty of coffee, chocolate, and even sugar cane juices.
Great time with Stefan!...

Great time with Stefan! So knowledgeable and the taste testing of different types of chocolate and coffee was delicious
Improvement tip
Vonetta_H, Apr 2024
Our tour guide was respectful, informative and professional. After saying this, I don’t want to reveal the tour guide’s name when I mention this below. One thing I will say to consider or improve on is: Tour guides when you are about to use the spoon to stir the coffee when making the coffee for the group. Do not touch your dirty fingers on the portion of the spoon that goes in coffee that everyone is going to drink. Do not talk with the spoon in your hand, use it when you are ready to stir the coffee. Overall, will highly recommend tour!!
Great way to spend the evening.

Fun experience! The have the cacao plants for the guide to pick, you sample each stage, he even shared his knowledge of the distribution. The coffee portion is more about the different beans and identifying quality and how to make the ‘perfect cup’
It was incredible...

It was incredible learning the process of how coffee and chocolate is made and taste testing everything.
Yummy Coffee and chocolate tour! Highly recommend!
Luciano_V, Apr 2024
Our tour guide was super knowledgeable about the cacao and coffee plantation! We had two coffee, tastings, three chocolate tastings, and one sugarcane tasting With a shot of Costa Rican rum. We were able to see some monkeys and some birds on the tour as well as a bunch of dogs on the plantation! Highly recommend this tour for anybody thinking about it and they give you an opportunity to buy locally made coffee and chocolate at the gift shop!
Highly recommended coffee and chocolate tour

Tips
Jill_L, Apr 2024
Tips. They provide umbrellas for sun protection while walking, so you don't need to put on lots of sunscreen before the tour. It's shady most of the tour, too. There are a few stops where you sit down, and there's shade during those stops and most of the walking during the tour. There's a flat gravel trail you follow during the tour. You can wear flip-flops, but your feet will get a little dusty. There are nice bathrooms, no lockers, and parking right up front of the check-in area.
Fantastic educational tour!
Rubika_N, Apr 2024
Fantastic tour led by Alberto. Very educational, thorough, and at a great pace. And we got to try all kinds of chocolates and coffees! 100% recommend, completely worth it.
A great way to spend a couple of hours in the morning.

I really enjoyed the tour, the guide was cool and I learned a lot about chocolate and coffee, and of course the best part is all the different sampling! Unlike a lot of Viator, this one felt like it was worth the price.
Fabulous experience!

Our tour guide, David, was fantastic! Was a wonderful combination of knowledge and humor! The coffee and chocolate tastings were incredible!
An informatic journey with North field
Wanjing_Y, Apr 2024
Our tour with Jonathan was an enlightening journey into the heart of Costa Rica's coffee and cane sugar cultures. Jonathan's ability to make each aspect of the tour engaging and informative was exceptional. He walked us through the plantations, explaining each step of the cultivation and production processes in detail. What stood out was his eagerness to dive into our questions, no matter how detailed, ensuring we left with a comprehensive understanding of the subject. The tour itself was well-paced, covering tasting of coffe, cane sugar juice, chocolate, etc. Jonathan's care for everyone in the group was evident, as he made sure to accommodate all needs and ensure everyone was engaged and comfortable.
Love it

Wonderful Tour not to be missed!
Heather_G, Mar 2024
My two daughters and I did the Coffee and Chocolate tour yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our guide, Stephan (not sure if the spelling is correct), was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We learned a lot about the history and process for making both chocolate and coffee which was super interesting. It was great that he asked for volunteers to assist with making cane juice and grinding the coffee beans. Sampling different types of coffee and chocolate also gave us a better appreciation for our preferences. And handing out umbrellas at the start of the tour to shade us was a nice touch. Thanks for a wonderful tour!
Cesar is the best!
Sara_C, Mar 2024
My group and I had so much fun on this coffee and chocolate tour. It was informative, interactive, and everything we sampled was delicious. Our guide, Cesar, was extremely knowledgeable and had the best personality and local recommendations. We even got to speak with him after the tour and learned so much! Could not have asked for anything better.
Fun and informative

Wonderful tour!

We had a great time on this tour! David, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and shared so much with our group. The kids were able to be involved in grinding the cacao into paste and squeezing the sugar water out of the sugar cane. We were also able to taste the chocolate plain or with added ingredients. Would highly recommend this tour! Especially great for families.
An amazing coffee & chocolate experience!

The coffee and chocolate were both so nice and we had Bella one of the owners dogs accompanying us along the tour, she was every cute! I would highly recommend this tour, especially if you want to know learn a lot about coffee and chocolate!
