We saw at least 8 sloths, plus a mama with a baby. Even though it was daytime, some of the sloths were active and so much fun to view. David was a fantastic tour guide! We also spotted a howler monkey. Overall, 2 thumbs way up!

The tour guide was great . Pointed out the sloths for us and had binocular that we were able to take photos with our cells phone
Great animal-viewing experience!

Incredible experience! However, you need to provide transportation for this adventure. Why is that not part of this package? Expecting customers to pay for their own ride-shares/Ubers/taxis is a little surprising given you provide transportation to almost all of your other excursions. No excuse for that!

David M was an excellent tour guide. He was knowledgeable, patient, and showed us the beautiful sloths in their natural habitat. We highly recommend this tour!
Lots of sloths! Great experience.

Jasón was a wonderful guide; I was on the 8am tour, and we saw so many sloths! (Both 2- and 3-toed sloths.) He was great about setting up the scope so we could see them up close, and also take photos through the scope. Lots of really fun sloth facts (how to tell them apart, diet, facts about the babies, etc). We also got to see a baby bird (a type of motmot - I forgot the full name!) in a ground nest, which was really cool.
The guides have gone out and planted flags where the sloths are, and stay in touch about which animals are where, so this is a great way to see sloths! Highly recommend.
Great experience

Do not go with young children
Laura_K, Apr 2024
We went on this tour with our 3 and 6 year old and it was quite disappointing and not family friendly. First, the tour guide was not very sensitive to the fact that my kids were young and might need a few reminders to keep their voices down. Secondly, the only way to see the sloths was through a telescope since they were so high up in the trees, and the telescope was too high for my kids to reach. Would’ve been nice if this tour were more accessible to children.
Great start to the trip

This was a great start to our trip, immediately checking Sloths off our bucket list (we'd see lots more). Sloth's Territory is a small reserve, basically private land with a lot of the trees Sloths like, but no fences keeping them there. Definitely not a zoo. The guides go out in the morning and put flags by trees where they spot Sloths, then the guides take groups on a trail to look for them. Our guide was Daniella, and she was great. She showed us things with and without her scope, explained things, and took lots of pictures through the scope that she air dropped at the end. If you want to use your own camera, not a phone through the scope, bring a good zoom lens because the Sloths tend to rest high in the trees.
Must do adventure! Great sloth sighting ls.

Rueben was a fantastic guide! Very scenic & educational. Many sloth sightings near & far. Awesome experience, kids loved it. Great views, no bugs, lots of shade during heat.

A really special experience, we saw two species of sloth, plus a toucan. In total we saw five sloths, including a male, female and baby trio! Our guide Ruben was very knowledgeable about the different animals. Recommend this trip!

Amazing tour, our guide Jason was very respectful of the nature around us and helped us spotting many slots, a couple of toucans and some monkeys in the canopy.
Without his help we would have seen zero sloths and maybe a Toucan.
At the end of the tour we had some nice refreshing fruit
Very recommended

Wonderful experience — our great guide found five sloths for us to view, two with babies(!) and showed us lots of other wildlife too, wild turkeys, turtles, and tanagers. It was a very hot day, so the shade was a relief and the fresh fruit at the end was very welcome. Highly recommend!
Love it

This was a great tour. We saw around 8 sloths and would never have seen them without our guide pointing them out. The hike was fairly easy but there were some steps. Our 7 year old did fine. Highly recommend to see sloths! The guide was very helpful and informative and helped us take pictures through the binoculars he had.

Seeing the Sloths was amazing. We saw 6-8 sloths both 3 toe and 2 toe. Naturalist guide was very informative. Use a scope to give us a better view of the detail. Shared photos he took with us.
