Named for its extraordinary green glow, Emerald Cove is one of the Colorado River’s most beautiful spots. Discover it at your own pace by stand-up paddleboard (SUP) or single or double kayak with this half-day rental, which includes safety gear and basic instructions. Upgrade to add shuttle transfers from Mandalay Bay on the Strip; national park fees are at your own expense, and cheaper if you arrive by shuttle.

Pickup details

If you choose to take the shuttle from Las Vegas, pick up point is at the Mandalay Bay Hotel - Main Entrance, Lower Level - Valet & Shuttle tour area. If you drive yourself, we meet you at Willow Beach, Arizona - designated paddlecraft area. We will send you a reminder text message with all the details one day before your rental.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

It was a fun first time adventure for my husband and I. The overall scenery kayaking to the cove was phenomenal. We were disappointed at the actual emerald cave itself. We were on our own and not part of a tour, but we arrived at the cove right behind a guided tour and could hear the tour guide tell his group that the best time of year to come to the cove is at the summer solstice and that the water is not as emerald green as in the photo. When my husband and I entered the cave, we saw that he was right. The cove itself was a disappointment. I wish we had been advised of times and days. But on the positive side, the way the light was on the river during our return to Willow Beach was extraordinary. The water was crystal clear green. It was just spectacular. We would do it again.

Amazing experience. Far better than pictures. We had no kayaking experience but they gave instructions and we had no problems at all. It's was absolutely beautiful!

I did the kayak rental with this company and it was one of the best experience of my trip. Everything went smooth, the customer service was very nice and they gave a detailed answers all of my questions. The guide handed me my kayak and equipments, he was punctual and very friendly. He basically taught me how to paddle properly. The Black Canyon is really one of the most beautiful place in the earth! Definitely worth it!

A great tour. Our tour guide Zoltan was knowledgeable and out going. The views are breathtaking. I am in my 60's, so the paddling is quite a work out, but Zoltan was very patient and helpful.
