A:We recommend dressing in layers and wearing your swimsuit under your clothes. Summer months are brutally hot, but with the water at Black Canyon at a chilling, yet refreshing 52-54 degrees this makes for excellent “jumping in the water” conditions.

Absolutely a blast on a beautiful sunny day in Colorado River. Our tour guide Blair was fantastic, very knowledgeable of the location and he made sure everyone comfortable and having fun. We were there for my parents anniversary, this is a trip that they will be remembered forever.

My son and I went on the Emerald Cave Kayak tour with Blair and we LOVED it! Blair is a guy who loves what he does and that’s what makes his tours memorable. From the moment he picks you up until the moment he drops you off he gives the best energy. He took his time with our tour and let us go at our own pace. If you are looking for any kind of tours from Las Vegas Blair from Venture Out Las Vegas is your guy!

Our guide Blair was fantastic, very supportive especially to all of us new to kayaking and knowledgeable about the location. We had a choice of single or double kayaks, we all opted for singles and the paddling wasn’t too exhausting, made easier on the way back due to the current and wind direction. Scenery was amazing. Lunch stop was long enough for a sandwich and a swim. We were kept informed by Christine to the 10 minute delay in pick-up from our hotel due to horrendous traffic conditions on the Strip. One of the most enjoyable excursions of our holiday, well worth the money. We’d definitely do it again.

The perfect solo adventure

This trip was absolutely fantastic! I was in town solo for a friend's wedding and wanted to get away from the lights for a bit before heading home. I couldn't have picked a better experience! Blair was the most friendly, fun and knowledgeable guide you could ask for. He let us explore at our own pace but was never far away to steer us along or offer a piece of paddling advice—the ultimate "River Daddy." Would absolutely recommend this tour for solo travelers—you'll leave feeling like you've spent the day among old friends.

We had a perfect day kayaking with Blair. We highly recommend this day tour. We are so glad that we chose to do it with the Venture Out Vegas company (led by Blair who owns, operates and does the tours himself). The fact that he picked us up from our hotel simplified the activity. We were able to wear our beach sandals all day. Blair put the whole group at ease and gave us lots of information throughout the day. As we were a small group and it was not a busy day, we were able to go to Emerald Cove twice, before the picnic and after. A great day!

After 4 days on the strip, the wife and I booked the Emerald Cave Kayak Tour with Venture Out Vegas to slow things down, and get off of the beaten path. The package included transportation to and from our hotel, lunch (sandwiches, chips, fruit & water), and admission fee to the park. Our guide Blair, did a phenomenal job throughout the day. He picked us up at our hotel at the stated time texting/updating us prior to arrival. He provided all of the necessary equipment, stressed safety, gave instruction A-Z. There was trivia, tidbits, history, comedy, and encouragement. He did a great job of keeping everyone engaged, and was very inclusive, and respectful. This company focuses on smaller groups (we had 6 + the guide), and has higher quality equipment… we passed other large groups with smaller cheaper kayaks and 20 plus participants… I felt fortunate to be in a small group with Blair leading the way. We highly recommend this excursion, and will do it again if possible! Max

Blair was a wonderful guide! We enjoyed the smaller group tour. The kayak experience to emerald Cave was awesome! We stopped at a beach for lunch and refreshing dip in the river. The scenery was breathtaking. Blair took nice photos of us. I would highly recommend this tour.

Have the day off and want to gat away!, but not go far. This is a must!

My Booking was horrible experience, my original date was cancelled on me , which was a surprise Birthday gift. I had to book another day. Regardless once I contacted Blaire at Venture Out Vegas, who owns, operates and does the tours himself reassured me it would be a great experience. This was the 1st time we’ve Kayaked together. It was affordable right here in our own backyard. That being said we had a wonderful day and it’s on our list to do again!

We were not experienced kayakers but Blair was encouraging and supportive the whole way. It was a relaxing afternoon and everyone was able to go at their own pace without feeling left behind. The scenery was beyond description. We received a nice lunch and opportunities to be in the shade as needed. If you get a chance, GO!
