As soon as I meet Gaby and Cesar, I felt one of thier friend 😁 They are funny happy and so was the tour, they shared thier knowledge about the local fruit and vegetables and of course the local dishes. Also Hector the driver drove very calm (unlike the other local drivers 🤣) I had an amazing time :)

Great tour - Junior was a fabulous guide, and Antonio a calm & safe driver. An insight into where & what Limans eat (& drink). No hard sell, but fantastic food and lots of information. Particularly loved Juniors patience when answering my many questions about fruit & veg that I wasn’t familiar with. Thanks!!

Can I say, I luv Cesar. He was so funny. I booked the tour last minute so I was solo on the tour. But Cesar made me feel like I was apart of a group. The fried rice was amazing and the fruit testing was interesting. Love that I got a chance to see the murals as well. A must do in Lima.

Great food tour and knowledgeable guide

Leonardo was very knowledgeable about the food grown in local areas and how they blend together to make good dishes. He took us to the local markets to try fresh fruits, vegetables, desserts, and soups on the spot. It was a welcome diversion from the tourist areas and the food was good. We had to cut our tour short (no fault of the tour), but we liked the places he took us. Next time we’re in Lima, we’ll book it again.

Junior was an excellent guide. The tour was all about the food but he also provided us with some interesting history on Peruvian food, its political origins, and the history of Peru generally. It ended up being just my friend and I on the tour so he was really able to individualize it to our tastes and interests. You should request Junior!

I had an amazing time in this solo tour. I learned so much about Peruvian food and gardening. The ceviche was excellent. So excellent I can’t stop thinking about the delicious flavors. The guides was amazing.

We loved our food tour to the markets in Lima and all the little spots we got to eat traditional Peruvian fare. We learned a lot about the various fruits and vegetables and who knew Peru has 3,500 varieties of potatoes? Our guide was fun, interactive and informative and made us feel involved in the experience. The food was basic style cooking more comfort food but the ingredients were good.

My son and I were lucky enough to get a private tour as it was just us. Aura was our guide and she was great. Her energy and enthusiasm for what she is doing was contagious. We enjoyed all the foods we tried and learn the area at the same time. Would definitely recommend this tour for anyone who enjoys getting a local experience and learning the history and culture of the food.

It was Worth Every Penny!

Yahaira, the tour guide did a wonderful job explaining the history of the Peruvian food. The food was delicious. It didn’t make you full but it was enough to make you feel comfortable. We ate at 2 markets, donuts cooked on the street, and wine tasting wear we ate grapes off the vine. It was a great experience and worth every penny.
