A Tale of Two Cities
Chris_R, Feb 2024
This trip provided an insight into two very different cities, past and present. The guided walk around the current neighbourhood of Barranco provided a glimpse into one of Lima's more upscale and artsy areas. This was balanced by the visit to Pachacamac, a trip into the world of the Incas and their predecessors, a little to the south of Lima. There is inevitably - given Lima's traffic - a lot of time spent driving, but overall it is a good way to spend some time from a Lima hotel if you are waiting for air, sea or bus connections.

We enjoyed very much the tour called: Pachacamac Archaeological Site Including Barranco District. Both places were very interesting. Our tour guide was great. I recommend this tour.
Good half day trip from Lima

I really liked this tour. The site is very interesting, especially the museum. The views from the top of the huaca are beautiful. Unfortunately some of the interesting painted walls are not open to tourists so I couldn't give a better rating. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable.

it was a driver who met us at the hotel. He did not say a word until we arrived at Pachacamac. The driver did not know that the tour included Barranco District.

This tour was great. We were picked up at our hotel and taken directly to the site. Our English speaking guide told us about the things we were seeing along the way. Stopped first at the museum for the Pachacamac Archaeological site and our guide explained the history of the area and the various groups who had lived at the site throughout history. She was very knowledgeable. After our museum tour we drove out into the ruins. We could stop where we wanted and walk as little or as much as desired. After the tour through the ruins we went to the Barranco district and walked through the tourist area with our guide. It was a very nice day.

The tour was excellent, but the information on Viatour regarding times was incorrect. Also the local contact number was disconnected. We lost 2 hours of time due to inaccurate info on Viatour. Be certain to confirm directly with the tour operator in advance!

My wife and I were very pleased with our tour. The tour leader and the tour guide were very capable, personable, people --- Carlos and Bianca, if I remember correctly. We enjoyed their company and we appreciated the tour. Because of their quality performance, we will not hesitate in the future to take a Viator tour somewhere in the world. Steve

Michael S, Dec 2015
Barranco is fabulous. The Pachacamac part is theoretically a very impressive tour: ancient sand-coloured buildings and pyramids. However, the landscape is also sand-coloured and there is no way to go into or onto the structures, and no display of genuine artefacts. We especially thank the tour operator, who was extremely helpful and straightened out a glitch in the booking.
Super Tour
Christoph_R, May 2024
Super Halbtagestour, alle Versprechungen wurden eingehalten, die Zusatzkosten für Abholung im Citycenter sind etwas zu hoch, der Führer und Fahrer waren top.
