A perfect day trip from Livorno Cruise Port. Simone, our driver was phenomenal! He was friendly, knowledgeable, extremely safe driver, made excellent recommendations for local food, and showed us some things we definitely wouldn't have seen on our own. We got exactly what we wanted out of this flexible tour and for cheaper (not to mention private just for our family) than we would have had with an excursion from the cruise company. Highly recommend!

This was a great and efficient way to quickly see Pisa, then head straight to cinque terra to experience the 5 villages. The driver (Simone) explained to us exactly what we needed to do to optimize our time. Note, you do need to be comfortable buying train tickets and reading train schedules, but it was super easy and the cinque terra train card is cheap and easy. We saw 4 out of the 5 villages in about 4 hours including stopping for lunch in monterosso. Highly recommend, especially if you’ve already been to Florence and are looking for a different type of experience.

I was pick pocketed in Cinque Terre getting on a train. I need to talk with someone at Viator to provide a new credit card number for a tour. As of now the charge was declined. How do I do that safely?

Simone is amazing! He was waiting with a sign for us when we got off the ship, gave us water, drive safely and took us to amazing places! We loved this tour and would definitely book again with Simone!

We had a great self guided day. Our driver & tour guide Simone was charming & very helpful with instructions for Cinque Terra. The trains were down on the day so he dropped us at the first town & we caught the ferry between each town. He was waiting for us when our ferry pulled in at the end of the day. At Pisa he not only drove us to the Leaning Tower but showed us the town of Pisa and explained various landmarks there & on our drive north. Totally recommend Simone especially for a private pickup & return from Cruise terminal.

Claudio was AMAZING! he was very knowledgeable about the area and even grew up near Pisa! He was on time and very accommodating with anything we needed (like using his hotspot). He even went out of his way to pick us up in Riomaggiore so we didn’t have to wait for the train to La Spezia because the trains were running slow. To sum it up he was great!

Driver Simone was a great transporter. Got us to the key places we wanted to visit with clear instructions on where to walk and what to expect. How and where to meet up. He was patient as there were some delays waiting for openings and train delays. Very enjoyable time in Pisa and Cinque Terre. For first timers in Italy, it was a blast!

Simone was the driver of one of our cars and according to my husband and the two other friends that rode with him, he was great! Very knowledgeable and spoke great english. The driver of the 7 passenger van that I was in was very nice but he did not understand english as well and we did not feel like we where able to ask him questions about the region which is something enjoyed doing with all of our tours during our trip. We where able to use the translation app on our phone but we where afraid of distracting him while driving so we stopped. The leaning tour of Pisa was gorgeous but I recommend making a reservation before you get there if you want to climb to the top and also if you want to tour the church. We only had about 1 hour in the area before loading up to be driven 1 hour to Cinque Terre. We where dropped off at the first village in Cinque Terre and given instructions on how to get from one village to the next (either by train or ferry) but having never been there before we where a bit lost and had to figure it out on our own. It would have been nice to have a tour guide with us at all times to help with translation and also provide more information about the areas we visited. having said all of that we thought the villages where magical and I cannot wait to go to visit this area again one day!

Because of bad weather, Simon generously and knowledgeably suggested alternative itineraries. Much appreciated! Instead of Cinque Terre in the rain, we went to both Pisa and Lucca and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Simon gave us lots of great suggestions and free time to explore. Simon is very friendly and enthusiastic and his English was so good we easily communicated with him. Highly recommend booking with him!!

We were met by Massimo - a very nice gentleman. He gave us choices of how to spend our day - we went to Pisa first and he offered us umbrellas due to the misty day. He meet us promptly at our agreed upon time. As we drove to Cinque Terre - along the way he pointed out points of interest and shared information as he did for the entire tour. In Cinque Terre he negotiated our tickets to make sure they understood what we needed and we understood the plan. The ferry ride was breath taking. We explored Manarola, which was beautiful and amazing - such a charming little village tucked inside the rocks. Upon our return from Manarola, Massimo met us with a large umbrella to protect us from the drizzle. It was a perfectly beautiful day even through the clouds. Highly recommend.
