We met Leigh, our guide, at a viewing point just up from Rotherhithe train station. As it is winter we were the only 2 on this tour which in some way was a bit of a pity as it is often a good part of the tour to meet other people from around the world. A great way to see a part of London you would not think to visit and involved 5 different historic pubs, sampling different beers and some English food being English which was not actually to much of a novelty for us but nice. Make sure that you are hungry when you get there. Leigh lives locally and was knowledgeable about everything on our route and allowed us time to explore some of the history in the pubs. There were some good views along the way of some of the Thameside attarcations Canary Warf, Shard, Tower Bridge etc We probably covered 2/3 miles and ended up near Tower Bridge. A lovely afternoon and we would recommend it.
