As the official London home of the Prince and Princess of Wales—along with their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—Kensington Palace's fame rivals that of Buckingham Palace. William and Kate aren't the only members of the royal family to walk its halls, though. The palace was first expanded by William III and Mary II. Later, King George II; Queen Victoria; Queen Anne; Princess Margaret; and Diana, Princess of Wales all called the palace home.

What are people saying about Kensington Palace

Fantastic morning
Walking tour was great. Saw the major events and areas of Westminster in a walk that last a little over 3 hours. We were given tickets for afternoon Kensington Palace tour for 2:30 pm. We were unable to make that part due to an already scheduled tour at 2 pm. Would check with tour agents about length of total event before booking other tours on the same day. Our tour guide Benedict was great. Insightful and fun guide. Highly recommend!

Definitely Worthwhile
Fun little activity. Walk around the park, hearing history and seeing a ton of dogs. Then tea and lunch at a Pavillion by the castle. Easily accessible via the underground (meets right by the station). Goes by fast, but definitely a worthwhile addition to a London visit.

Delightful, delicious, experience!
We had a lovely tea with all the trimmings! The staff was very professional and added a very special plate of goodies, as it was our anniversary.

As great as expected
Our guide Dee gave us a lot information of the history of Hyde Park, the kings and queens at the time, and some fun and horrible facts related to them during the one hour nice and easy walk towards Kensington Palace garden. Of course, the high tea is the highlight, the taste and the presentation are both good! The sunny but cool weather is bonus to us all!
