    Our tour guide was amazing. He knows his stuff and was very thorough in telling us the history. He was very good in positioning us where to watch the changing of the guard.
    Disaster Tour with Golden Tours.

    It was a terrible experience. Our taxi from the cruise ship ran late and I called Golden Tours booked through Viator to let them know we wouldn't arrive until 8:05. I was told they leave promptly at 8AM and to go to the tour office, which our taxi driver took us to and dropped us off. We got there at 8:10 as it was a different location than from where the tour left. The office was closed! I called again and was told to wait that there would be someone there by 8:30. A family of 6 also came to the office with the same issue. When someone finally came, we were told to get an uber to meet the tour at St Paul's Cathedral at 8:45. It was already after 8:30 and the Uber couldn't pick us up until 9:10!. We hailed taxis and got to St Paul Cathedral. We saw no bus or tour and the Cathedral let us in as we told them what had happened and we were with Golden Tours. They had no idea what tours were there, but let all of us in. I was traveling with my husband. Called Golden Tours again and were told they were already in the Cathedral and spent our time there trying to find them. We came across a Golden Tour group run by a woman named Ali and she said we were not with her group and had no room for us. Ali said we were with another group with a man with a name sounding like Weston (not sure) and he was blond and they were down stairs in the crypts. We went down and searched the crypts along with the Asian family of 6 and a few others to no avail. The crypts then exited from the Cathedral. We checked with the security guards and they could not recall a group exiting. I stayed by the exit and called again and was told my group was in the crypts still. False information. The Asian mom found out that our tour had left originally 5 minutes before 8AM and that our tour had already left the Cathedral. Ali told her to go with her group along with a few others to their bus and the Asian mom had her son come get us too. We followed them to the bus a few blocks away. Ali let the family of 6 onto the bus and 2 others then told us that her bus was now full. She could not take us. We were then told to take a taxi - yet again to Buckingham Palace and meet our group to the right of the entrance. Which we did. Upon arriving to thousands of people awaiting the changing of the guard, it was impossible to locate anyone! We watched the changing of the guard and small parade and asked at the group entrance if our group had come and would we be able to get access to the palace. He had no idea and sent me to the ticket area. Fortunately on our ship, I had printed out our reservation. I showed them that and they forwarded me up the line to another person and then a supervisor came out. Took my paperwork and went into the office. She came back and told me she herself would take us in and was sorry this happened to us and to enjoy our day. We were so frustrated and disappointed. DO NOT BOOK Golden Tours and Viator, REMOVE them from your portfolio of tours. An awful stressful day. A few people on our ship that we told about our experience felt that perhaps they overbooked the tour. Something was fishy.

    this was very crowded.. not Viator's fault. The tour guide suggested where to stop by so we could see the Guard coming in and we did see them but not the actual changing of the Guard in front of the Castle. That didnt happen.

    The tour guide spent an hour in St. Paul’s church. We saw nothing else. He was extremely rude to both me and my mother. We never saw the changing of the guards. He rushed us passed the horses. When we got to Buckingham Palace we ended up leaving due to the rudeness of the tour operator
    Small Group London with Changing of the Gurad

    This trip was a complete lie. It was advertised as a small group, no more than 9 people total. When we arrived, there were 22 people. Really, who taught you how to count. When I questioned the guide, I was told by Golden Tours...apparently that who is really running this tour, that they NEVER have a group of 9. Interestingly enough, when I got home and checked their site again, they removed that part of the blurb. Already reported them to BBB and will never use them again. Also will give a negative review on Tripadvisor. One thing I hate in a company is dishonesty, Viator, you are a dishonest company.
