What To Expect

Experience a new form of two-wheeled transportation as you cycle the mellow streets and beautiful beaches of Santa Monica and Venice with a guide on this tour by electric bicycle. It's the perfect opportunity to experience the gorgeous weather and ocean breezes of Southern California aboard an electric bicycle that you can pedal yourself (or let the motor do all the work instead).

Begin your bike adventure in Santa Monica with either a morning or afternoon departure time. Meet your guide and climb aboard your bike to begin your ride. Your ride for the day is a Pedego beach cruiser, a typical Southern California ride that's been modified with an electric motor. Choose to pedal as you would a normal bike, or flip the switch to turn on the electric motor and just enjoy a relaxing ride. Your bike includes six gears as well as high-end disc brakes, lithium ion battery and 500-watt motor that ensure you'll have no problem keeping up.

Start out your ride by traversing Santa Monica's iconic beach, heading towards the Marion Davies Guesthouse, past the Santa Monica Pier and then on to Venice, where you'll cycle around its famous canals. Enjoy the beautiful sun and cool beach weather as your guide shares fascinating details about the neighborhoods' architecture and history along the way. Finish your cycling trip back at your original departure point.

  • Guideline for maximum age is 70 if you are a comfortable bike rider.

  • We recommend you wear closed toed shoes, sunscreen and sunglasses and bring a jacket (all bikes have double saddlebags for small items).
  • Tours do not operate in rain
  • Most travelers can participate
  • Important: The tour requires a minimum number of passengers to operate. There is a possibility that the tour may be cancelled after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring you will be provided with an alternate option or full refund.

  • Los Angeles/Santa Monica are famous for traffic. Plan for TRAFFIC especially on Freeways.

Great tour. Easy peddle on the electric bikes, you don’t even have to peddle if you don’t want to. Stef was a very knowledgeable guide. Be prepared if you have never been to Venice beach it’s crazy but great for people watching. We had a ball doing this tour and loved every minute or it. Worth the money. Just watch out when feeding the duck those little buggers can bite 😂😂😂

Biking on the ocean front path in Santa Monica and Venice Beaches. Our guide Steph was excellent! He knows the area and very knowledgeable. We ranged from a newbie, beginners to intermediate and all made out well. EBikes And helmets well maintained. We were fitted for size and explained and shown how to ride an e-bike. I would say it’s a must do if you’re in the Santa Monica area - hook up with Steph at the bike shop and you will not be disappointed. Manitoba 6

Class act, from the moment arriving Barb made sure each rider was familiar and comfortable with riding the E-bikes. During the tour much thought has been put into the amount of riding and taking time off the bike when there was plenty of history for Barb to share with us. She had some great stories, and neat photos to display about them. It was a well paced, pleasurable experience.

Barb, our guide, was great! We were running just a few minutes behind due to traffic/technical difficulties and she was kind enough to call and wait the extra few minutes for us to get there. The e bikes were great! You have the option to pedal or use power or a mixture of both if you’d like. This would be great for any fitness level. Barb touched on lots of history of Santa Monica and Venice areas and pointed out homes and features that we never would have seen or known without her expertise. The included bottle of water and snack bars were the nicest touch! Overall, we had a great time and I highly recommend this activity to anyone in the area .
