Our friendly guide, Ismail, was extremely enthusiastic and his commentary throughout the 5 valleys was so interesting. Each valley held its own beauty and lunch in the middle of the tour after a trek was tasty and relaxing, set against beautiful scenery. The family who cooked the meal and all the people we met were really friendly and helpful.

Amazing day trip

We loved this tour...Ismail was the perfect guide, funny and informative he really made our day, his riddles will stay with us forever!! The trek with the berber brothers, Abdel, was both amazing and humbling as we saw how they are recovering from the devastating earthquake. A very tasty tagine was served to us, on what seemed like, on top of the world!! Khadija and her sister Aisha made us feel very welcome and the food was delicious, we couldn't have asked for better. All in all this was a fantastic trip and I definitely recommend.
An in depth visit to the beautiful Atlas Mountains.

I can't find right words to describe this tour - great/amazing are not enough to describe it. Our guid was very vibrant, nice, fun and informative. We were traveling via 5 villages and were able to see totally different Marroco than big cities. Hiking with nice, local guides (60-90 min) and delicious lunch in family house were the highlights! The best food I ate in Marroco, stunning views and a lot of facts about Berbers life. If you want to see something different than places full of tourists, choose this tour.
Not to be missed!

What a fantastic day! Ismail was undoubtedly the best tour guide we’ve ever had, so knowledgable about anything and everything and great fun! This topped off with amazing scenery, delicious food, great company and an eye opening insight to Berber family life made a most memorable day!
Excellent trip. Fave excursion!

Ismail was an excellent guide, he was incredibly knowledgeable and always happy answer any questions. He was enthusiastic about his work and clearly has a passion for this! Meeting the Berber family was also a very eye opening experience and difficult to describe in a way that would do it justice

This was a great tour that allowed us to see some amazing views as well as to get an idea of how the Berbers live in the villages up there - which is pretty poorly! This was particularly striking in view of the damage caused by the 2023 earthquake. We were glad that the company was taking us to areas that were not full of foreign tourists and that were clearly in need of support. We were happy to be in contact with people there. Being a small group (6) was really appreciated. The trip includes a hike up to the lunch venue which gives striking images (but is slightly demanding). The lunch venue with a view on to Toukbal is is a great location, with a friendly family cooking (although communication is inevitably limited). Our guide, Mohamed (the First) was exceptionally good: fluent in English, French and Spanish, informative and humorous - a real pleasure to be with. Thank you!
Great tour

Fantastic tour. A proper experience , felt like you were off the tourist trail and seeing the countryside for real. Good value for money
We could not recommend this trip enough

We could not recommend this trip enough The group we were with was small (7 of us) and were predominantly Brits. Most were well travelled and eager to see the sights and learn more about Morocco and Usmail did not disappoint. Usmail was a fantastic guide / driver and quiz host for our trip. Full of energy, facts and answers as well as his own questions about our backgrounds and experiences. Usmail also went out of his way when my phone fell down in between the seats and I didn’t notice it was missing until we had said goodbye and were back at our Riad. He took time out of his own evening to return it. We were picked up on time not too far from our Riad and were transported in a comfortable mini-bus from site to site. From the Coffee by the river, to the woman’s argan oil cooperative, to the guided hike in the hills, to the late excellent and plentiful lunch with a Berber family we were treated well by the locals we encountered. In the most part the sites we saw were awe-inspiring albeit tinged with the more sobering sites of the devastation in some of the villages following the September 2023 earthquake. A suggestion is for you take some stationery (pens / coloured pencils and the like) for the children you will no doubt come across. Usmail was well prepared however they would not say no to more being offered! One point that we felt should be noted on an updated web page was that the waterfalls were no longer part of the trip, due to the unstable nature of the area around following the earthquake in 2023. While we missed out on this walk, we still very much enjoyed the substitute.
Sensational experience

This activity was everything I thought it would be and MORE! From start to end it didn’t disappoint. The organisers messaged me timeously with instructions about the time and place I would be picked up, it was a central spot near my Riad that I had no problems finding and the guide Mohammed was there at 8am exactly as outlined in the instructions the day before. Once the tour started, Mohammed got me and 4 other travellers started to a very great day. He was well knowledgeable on Marrakech and not just the Atlas Mountains and 5 valleys, giving us interesting facts about the city and country as soon as the drive started and before we even reached the mountains. The tour of the mountains, valleys and villages themselves was nothing short of rich, rewarding and deeply interesting and eye opening too. All the local Beber people we encountered were thrilled to be meeting us and welcomed us warmly; the breakfast prepared for us by the women in the field village was delicious and the lunch we had in the afternoon on the roof of a house of a Beber family was one of my favourite life experiences ever (not just in Morocco), it felt like we were part of that family, you could feel the warmth and love with which that meal had been prepared. And it was also the best Tajine I had during my stay in Morocco! The valleys and mountains are incredible to see and experience and the hike we did was pleasant, it’s a proper hike so come ready with sneakers/hiking shoes but don’t be put off by it if you think you’re not fit because it’s not challenging at all, it’s quite lovely and a great way to explore the villages on foot because a large part of the valleys and mountains you’ll explore in the car (which is also great in itself as Mohammed explains as you go and we stop frequently for pictures and to take in the views) Overrall, a wonderful day tour that I’d HIGHLY recommend. It’s safe, rewarding and will give you a very different and authentic experience of this beautiful country! Thank you so much Mohammed!
Great way to spend a day

Oh the sights you will see. Ismail was part teacher, part photographer, part game show host and all around fun guide.. All the guests were involved and friendly because of Ismail. The itinerary was appropriate and well-planned. Recommended.
Wonderful trip

Absolutely fantastic day. The guide really made the trip. He was knowledgeable and clearly had experience of the area, taking us to some wonderful spots. Really enjoyed the walk and learning more about the local culture/community (and how devastating the earthquakes were). Being in a smaller group as well was much nicer than some larger tours of this area. Can't recommend the tour and the guide enough!
Amazing tour!

We made a great and unforgettable tour through the 5 valleys of the Atlas Mountains with a nice, spontaneous and friendly group. Abdul was our tour guide/driver and he took us through all his stories that day, which he told with great passion and enthusiasm during the entire tour. The tour was very varied with new surprising and unique elements. The consequences of the last earthquake made a big impression on us, especially the devastation, the loss and damage to the houses of the poor Berber population. What we have seen is that fortunately a lot of help is provided to rebuild the collapsed houses as firmly as possible and how wonderful is it that this tour operator donates a part of their tour earnings. Our thanks of course go to our fantastic and friendly tour guide Abdul who always spontaneously offered to take photos of us and the group, the local guides who accompanied us during the beautiful hiking trip and finally the Berber family who were so wonderful to us. cooked for this unforgettable and beautiful memory. If I could give 10 stars I would… the guide Mohamed, the hike with Ali, the Atlas Mountains scenery, Berber villages, authenticity, and great food all made for an unforgettable experience. I am in awe and so thankful for this adventure. Many thanks to Mohamed #1… you will not find a better guide
Ismail. Greatest guide

Great tour. Our guide Ismail was such fun and so very very knowledgeable. We would highly recommend the trip. Sitting on what felt like the top of the world having a true Berber meal was amazing.
Fantastic tour, even better people
Kirsten_D, Mar 2024
We’d recommend this trip to anyone wanting to see the beauty of the High Atlas Mountains. Our tour guide Mohamed was enthusiastic, kind and an excellent driver – we learned so much. We stopped in the first two valleys for breathtaking photos and in the third, we hiked for around 90 mins (nothing too strenuous but need good shoes) to our Berber host’s home for lunch. It was honestly the best meal we’ve had in Morocco and would put fine dining restaurants to shame – absolutely delicious! The family were lovely. Overall a wonderful trip.
Highly recommended - simple as that !

I highly recommend this trip. Our guide, Mohamed (1) was exceptional and very knowledgeable, along with being very personable. Our pick up was on time and our visit to the Berber families was very humbling and the provided lunch was wonderful. I cannot fault this trip and is an absolute must when visiting Marrakesh, even if to just get a bit of peace and quiet from the noisy city.
