Directions: Hotel pickup is available from hotels and riads located in central Marrakech. Please be sure to advise your hotel details at the time of reconfirmation to arrange your pickup time. If your riad is inside the medina, you will be asked to make your way to the nearest place accessible to vehicles, which may involve a short walk. Return point: Returns to original departure point

What To Expect

Begin your experience with a pickup from your central Marrakesh hotel. Meet your friendly driver, hop inside your comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle with the rest of your group, and set off for your first destination—a traditional Berber home.

Be welcomed by the friendly family who lives in the house, and sit down for a delicious, freshly brewed mint tea—a staple in Morocco. As you sip, chat with the family members about their daily lives and the customs they follow.

Next, return to your vehicle and drive to the Palmeraie, a picturesque palm grove on the fringes of the city. Be shown to your camel and learn how these hardy desert animals have been used for transport in Morocco for centuries thanks to their ability to travel long distances without water.

After a safety briefing, climb into the saddle on the back of the camel and relax as you enjoy a ride through the verdant palms and sands. Take photos of the views as the sun descends through the sky and absorb the serenity of the surroundings as you saunter through the grounds.

After your ride, drive back to your hotel where your experience ends.

From start to finish, the driver and the camel guide were both super friendly and helpful, both chatty they did provide a really good experience and insight on local life. The berber family that served us tea were also nice and very polite, the tea was delicious as well as the olives and bread. We all had a great time, highly recommended.

A memorable ride.

If you want to tick the box, camel ride at sunset, then you won’t be disappointed. The area is not like the true desert, but is only a short drive away from the city centre. The camels look well taken care of and you can see the owner really adores his camels. The staff are really friendly and they take you for a long walk around, and also take excellent photos and videos for you. Would highly recommend the experience

One of a kind experience!

Such a wonderful one-of-a-kind experience! Marwan was our driver and very knowledgeable about Marrakech. Once we arrived, Hamza was our guide during the ride to and from the Berber tent. He made the experience memorable and made sure to stop for all the photo-ops. Once at the tent we had delicious mint tea, olives, and bread before heading back on the camels. The ride finishes while the sun is setting, such a beautiful back drop! Can’t recommend this tour enough.

Hamaz was our guide. He quickly calmed our fears with his sense of humor when explaining how to mount and dismount. The education about the animals as well as the region was very much appreciated. We would do this again. The animals were very gentle and the experience is perfect for families with younger children too.

This was a fun and memorable ride from beginning to end. Our ride to and from the Palm Grove was great, thanks to our driver, who described what we were seeing on the road. Our camels and guide were wonderful and was a perfect sunset and ride. Victoria, Sophia and Maumania were experienced dromedaries making our trek through the grove very pleasant and fun. Highly recommend this to anyone.

We got to the palm grove where our excursion started, however before that our taxi driver was fantastic any questions about the city he knew shoutout to him. Our guide for the evening was Marouane he was fantastic, very knowledgable about the camels and he was excellent with our 7 yr old daughter taking it nice and slow for her and answering all her questions. We then took a short stop to have some mint tea, olives and biscuits which was all lovely. Then we all got back on our camels to go back to our transport watching the sunset heading back. Definitely recommend this trip anyone, especially families with young children they’d love it. 10/10

This was one of the most memorable times for sure. To start, our driver, Abdel, lwas was very nice, and he was very knowledgeable about the city. Also, the camels were very calm, slow, and steady. In the middle of the ride, they even gave us a little snack and drink. In the end, you should most definitely go and experience exiting memories on a camel.

My husband and I had an incredible time on this experience. Our driver, Murwan, picked us up at a very convenient location to our riad. Not only was he a fantastic driver, but he was a wealth of knowledge- he let us pick his brain on Moroccan culture and he even sang us a song when he learned we were on our honeymoon! (He is a great singer by the way). Once we got to the camel ride location, we were passed to our guide who was equally as fabulous, kind, and knowledgeable (apologies I cannot recall his name but he was fantastic!) The ride was great, we even stopped for tea in a small village within the area before venturing back. It was truly a memorable experience and I highly recommend everyone to do this while in Marrakech. Thank you!!

Awesome Camel Adventure

This was one of our favorite experiences on our recent trip. Riding camels through the palm grove was very fun and something we had very much looked forward to. Zacharias, the guide, was amazing! He took dozens and dozens of great photos of us at various angles/ locations and took some video too. He spoke great English and was very funny, charming and talkative. Logistically, being picked up very close to our hotel was great. Our driver was prompt, friendly, and a safe driver. We would definitely recommend this tour, even to families, as there was a darling little girl (4?) on our excursion who rode with her mom. The bonus was the two baby camels who followed our caravan.

Both of our guides were great! Marwan (our driver) was super friendly and chatty. He was perfectly on time, had a clean car, and was very friendly. The camel ride was amazing and was about 15 min to the location that we had tea and snacks and 15 min back to the car. We were dropped off back where we were picked up and the whole process was simple and enjoyable.

You need to get hold of him and help him progress! Everything was super slick and smooth from pickup, to the experience itself. Felt safe, ride was well organised, and the sunset beautiful. The animals are obviously very well cared for, and all the family lovely. Thanks again for the experience - well worth paying the extra to be a private group.
