Awesome trip of Aix de Province and Marseille

Our trip was amazing, as was our guide Remi. He was very attentive to all of the group. He was very informative and looked out for the safety of our group when crossing streets and accounted for each at our meeting points. Gave us time yo explore on our own.

Remy, our guide, was amazing. Very personable and articulate. Marseille tour, church, and oldest bakery were very interesting. Fantastic lunch spot in a local bistro in Aix. Aix is a fun filled town. Overall a great and seamless 7 hour tour.

Easy connection with our guide right at the exit from the ship. There was only eight of us and we had comfortable transportation. We learned about our stops from our knowledgeable and passionate guide. We had free time in AIX en Provence to shop and have lunch.

Great guide beautiful town

Good overview of Marseille with stops a significant sights. Managed to catch choir practice in the church on the hilltop. Aix-en-Provence was the absolute highlight.

Wonderful experience. We had a knowledgeable driver (Pepe) who was very patient with my 80 year old mother’s mobility issues. (The fish reference is an inside joke.)

Not the tour guide’s fault

Our guide Jeff was great, but we didn’t get what we paid for. There was an elderly couple on the tour and one of them needed a walker. So, all said, it wasn’t the tour company’s fault, but not the best experience.

We had a great experience with Remy! He was a wonderful driver and guide. He gave us just enough information to navigate on our own and pointed out all the interesting things not to miss! Perfect small tour and very flexible. Aix en Provence was a nice little area with great shopping and food! Perfect for a day trip. While marseille was rich with history, a beautiful basilica, and ocean/harbor views.

Disappointing Marseille tour

Guide was late and difficult to locate, resulting in a shortened tour. The description of the tour was a bit misleading, such as leading to an expectation of driving through the countryside rather tan on a highway, and seeing lavender plants when they weren't in bloom this time of year. While our guide was friendly, she didn't talk a great deal and for the most part we were on our own at our stops. We expected more information and guidance about our stops as well.

Best way to see Marseilles and Aix

This was an excellent tour. Lucy, our guide, was easy to find at the Marseilles port. Warm and friendly from the start. Quick 30 minute drive to Aid where she gave us just enough of a tour and history that made the city become a new favorite. Left on our own after the tour to shop and eat for a bit. Drive back to Marseilles for a driving tour. Marseilles is a very busy town with lots of traffic and Lucy navigated it so well. Stops at 2 viewpoints and 2 cathedrals were great. Don’t hesitate to book this tour - You’ll be in good hands!

Need better plan than dump off at flea market.

AIX is a lovely town with friendly people and certainly has more to offer than a flea market. There was not enough time on the tour to visit Cezzane or other art interests in this art centered city. In Marseilles we saw a couple of fortresses and a beautiful cathedral. 9:00 was the published tour start but the time was changed last minute to 9:30 and we had to stop to pick up 4 more at a different ship and set out at 9:50. We had to return early because the people from the other ship had to be back by 4. The people in the front where rude hogging the guides attention and the people in the back could not hear. I do not advise a small group tour unless you are with friends or people you have become friendly with on the ship. Small group apparently means 8 customers packed in a 9 passenger van.
