We had a wonderful time on the tour and loved all of our stops. Cassis and Cap Canaille were especially beautiful and would have been very difficult to get to without taking a tour. Our guide, Sebastian, was excellent and shared lots of interesting things about the area as well. Thank you for a great day!

Great guide and excursion

Our guide Caroline was very fluent in English and really explained the history and landscape and culture of Provence and in particular the two towns that we visited. She was patient, kind, and a wonderful driver as well. She treated my elderly mother with much respect and love.

Cassis was so picturesque

The tour on a whole was quite good. We saw the most magical view of Cassis and the Mediterranean from atop a very high precipice. That vista was so memorable! We enjoyed Cassis on our own as our guide, Sebastian drove us from place to place and gave us some history and facts while we were driving but we had two hours in Cassis to wander or have lunch. Seeing the crashing waves on the beach was mesmerizing and the tiny harbor town was incredibly picturesque. Our trip to Aix in Provence was less interesting and aside from the various cafes around town there was not much to see. Two hours on our own seemed like a bit too much.

Could be better but…

Cassis is a nice town but we were told that options were having a long lunch or a cruise. Due to the weather condition cruise was not possible. I had a dinner reservation, it was not a great idea to have a big lunch as well. 2hours with no option was waste. The guide was rude, she talked only with Europeans, other ones didn’t get same treatment. Maybe she is a racist.

We can't let you write this. There is no form of racism in the behavior of our guide nor in our tourism company, and there never will be. We have ethics and we will never tolerate any form of discrimination. But under no circumstances can you write certain very insulting and degrading words for our entire society. You felt left out, we will pass on the information so that this situation does not happen again, but do not confuse racism with feelings of get different treatment. A tour in French and English remains a demanding exercise for our guides, especially when certain customers monopolize the guide, the conversation. Beautiful scenery and Florence was a wonderful guide. The only downside was that 7 hours flew by and we would have needed at least double that.

Nice guide but tour needs some improvement

Nice gal and thank goodness a safe great driver. Took up to the top looking over all of cassis. What a beautiful view. Long drive between Marseille and Cassis and also the drive back from Provence to marseille. Would have appreciated some history, stories, or any information about the 3 towns we visited while we were driving around. While at Provence we got good information for our hour walk.

Pleasant & enjoyable & tips to go on this trip!

If you are crunch in time, I highly recommend this to see Cassis and Axin-Provence all in a half (7 hours) day. There were 3 couples (including us) total in a small comfy van. The excellent driver (Pape) spoke mainly English & some French to another couple from Luxembourg. We have mainly 2 hours to eat & shop at each place. The trip was very pleasant & enjoyable!!! For those who are on a tight budget and has more time, you can visit both places easily by train or bus. The cost is about $15-$20 round trip per person by train and not too far. Distance is about an hour each site from Gare de St-Charles. This will save you $$, however, it requires more time & time to plan. Time is precious when you travel out of the country. Spend more $, you then have more time to go other nearby city. Even though we are very $ conscious, we still highly recommend this Viator trip!

Great driver but not a guided tour!!

A truly joyful tour

In addition to a most beautiful drive thru the Colanques, into the charming seaside village of Cassis, and concluding our tour through the historic Aix-en-Provence, we were treated to a phenomenal presentation by our guide, Pelayo "Pepe" Mencos. He is quite passionate when describing the various locals and historic buildings. You can tell he truly loves what he does. It was a real treat experiencing this tour with him.

Cassis is picturesque and incredibly beautiul. Aixis a lovely college town with loads of restaurants and bistros. Our Guide Papaja was wonderful and very emtusiastic about the region. The drive through the national park as thrilling.

As a person traveling without a car, my biggest concern was to visit all places (Aix-en-provence, Cassis and Calanque National Park) within limited time while staying in Marseille. our Guide, Pepe was explaining about the areas and took us viewpoints, and even guided us for an our in Aix-en-Provence which usually doesn’t happen on a tour like this! It was really great time and it was great to join this tour! Highly recommend especially if you are traveling without a car and do have limited time to spend in Marseille! The tour itself gave us enough time to onboard a boat to Calanques so i think you will enjoy a lot!

Our time on tour with Pepe was fantastic! He was very friendly, knowledgeable and made sure everybody understood what he was sharing in French and English! He made this excursion even more fun by sharing so many facts about the region we were driving through! Aidan our guide was fantastic, he gave us so much really interesting information . We loved Cassis, and had a lovely lunch there plus saw amazing scenery. Aix en Provence also a beautiful town to walk round and learn some of its history

Fantastic family day with Thomas!

We accidentally booked from downtown vs. the cruise port and called about an hour before and the lady on the phone was super helpful, she went out of her way to change our plans and get us another driver. Thomas was fantastic! Can highly recommend a private van tour to Cassis and Aix. We also bought Cassis boat tickets and got on a 1 hr. ride right away, was well worth the visit to both cities.
