Eric is a wealth of information about CDMX its history and its people. His knowledge provided better context for us to understand in a more integrated way how the city has developed in the modern era. All in all the tour was good. however I originally thought we were buying entrance into the National Palace to see the Diego Riviera murals and this was not the case. Any entrance to an interior building is extra, you need to make a reservation and most are closed on Mondays. So while it was interesting to hear about the building themselves, I really was left wanting to see the murals and could not return.

Our guide, Matilde, provided an excellent tour of downtown Mexico City. She shared many historical facts about the various buildings and sites we visited. She really made this walking tour a pleasant and positive experience.

With so many choices, we hit the jackpot with the private tour of Zocalo with our knowledgeable guide, Erick Rios. It was truly a highlight of our vacation to get such a thorough, in-depth overview of the history, culture and landmarks of the Zocalo area. Erick’s enthusiasm for his city and its history is truly palpable and was a great way for us to begin our first visit to CDMX.
