I had a fun time, visiting this great little "floating village." I'm from New Orleans, so it was like Mardi Gras floats on boats, sailing down the canals. Delicious lunch from the cook whose canoe attached to ours and food was prepared fresh and to order! Complete with a mariachi band that glides by you and even a souvenir guy, if you're needing a sombrero or serape in a pinch! Coyoacan was beautiful, and seeing the coyote statues all over, hearing the history and walking in the parks was a nice change from being in the busy city. The stop at CU was informative, as well.

What you bought was not what you got
james_l, Mar 2024
Well ... no pick up at hotel despite booking with the pick up point (had to pay extra for taxi to meet up point). Change of itinerary, starting at Coyocan (half an hour despite time stated) and included Azteca Stadium. Only 1 hour at Xochimilco despite purchases itinerary. Believe this is a booker (Vuela Viajero) who farms you out to actual operators. Don't trust this middleman.
Awesome tour guides

Driver and tour guide were excellent, both friendly and knowledgeable. Took the time to build a relationship with each participant and made it a memorable trip. Xochimilco was not for us. The canals are very crowded and you don’t really get to see much, just a lot of other boats and people.
Too crowded, water too...

Too crowded, water too dirty!. Expensive food, excellent guide (Aron). Coyoacan was amazing tho! cute place....would go back to it but not to Xochimilco!
Xochimilco—fun but could be better

We spent an hour driving thru the city to pick up 13 passengers. Much too crowded in the van: 4 people in the 5th row (back.) The guide did not have a microphone. It was hard to hear. We loved the boat trip—colorful and fun, good lunch. Carlos took a nap the entire time, which seemed inappropriate. Since they changed the order of the visits, Carlos took us back to Coyoacan at the end of the day, which we appreciated
Beautiful sites; but we knew nothing.

We specifically requested an English speaker. We followed the prompt accordingly to get one. However, we we arrived, we were told there were no additional seats on the English speaking van. We then were told, we would meet with the English group at each stop. However, the vans didn’t stay together, so once we got to a spot, the English group has completed that portion of the tour. We didn’t expect the guide to be proficient and would have been ok with moderate English, but our guide knew none. We spent 8 hours with a guide who knew no English. If we had known this beforehand we would have cancelled the trip and possibly booked on a day where there was an English interpreter available.
Fun time!

Xochimilco was fun on a Sunday. Carlos and Angel took good care of us. Lots of info and communication and engaging all participants.
Like Mardi Gras on the water! Coyotes and Churches and colleges are a bonus!

Don’t choose Viator
Darlyn_O, Aug 2021
Stay away. Don’t book through Viator. They false advertise. The itinerary is completely different. We left the tour because it started one hour later and not what we were promised. Viator refused to refund. Lack of customer service. Take Uber to your location it is inexpensive and secure
Response from Host, Aug 2021
Darlyn, we had been in contact with you during this tour and Tolantongo groots you reserved, you were never felt alone. You told us everything was right with the service you received but unfortunately you weren´t happy with this tour. The schedule of the tour is not exactly as the web site shows, as everyday different aspects as traffic, accidents, etc show on. This tour is given on the south of the city and the timing shown contemplate the transfer to the attractions as well. Not only the timing at some place. Anyhow you were about to experience all the attractions described and some others as Estadio Azteca, Frida Kahlo museum on the time described and you had been coming back on time to the hotel. We hope you can once again experience this tour and finish happy with this service. From our side we can offer a free ticket for the tour once again when you come back to mexico. Welcome back whenever you want.
Una excursión excelente! ...

Una excursión excelente! Ursula era muy amable. Se lo recomiendo a todos. Me encantó Coyoacán y Xochimilco sobre todo.
NO TOMAR ESTE TOUR
JUANCARLOS_G, Jun 2023
To focus on purchasing
Marta_P, Sep 2019
Nos llevaron directos a un mercadito y a las trajineras...la informacion proporcionada por el guia no era relevante en terminos de historia...y todo se convirtio en un paseo de compras
