Very nice and comprehensive tour of Montevideo with Gonzalo. We covered a lot of different monuments and had plenty of time to take some pictures.

A very nice tour - with special thanks to our excellent tour guide - Paola! We were the only couple who spoke English in a multinational group of 19 tourists mainly speaking Spanish. Paola was explaining in both languages and we are thankful for all the information she gave us about Montevideo, the history and culture of Uruguay. About the organization of the tour - we had a little confusion about the hotel pick up policy. When we made the reservation we did not receive the usual pick up time and the time of the tour that the local tour operator gives with the confirmation. We had to contact their office and make arrangements in the last moment. But they were gracious enough to provide an early pick up from our hotel that was in Carrasco area. First time tourists will appreciate if there is more information about the pick ups.

Before arriving to montevideo, I'd picked out a handful of things - say like 10-12 -that I deemed a must-see during my 2 day stay. I took this tour on my first morning with the intent of spending the rest of the day hitting whatever was missed. We either drove by or stopped at nearly every single spot I had flagged! The guide was knowledgeable and informative, and her English was very helpful. And at no point did I feel rushed or bored.

A once over lightly tour without any in depth discussion of history, politics or culture. Long stops at shopping mall (really?) and the soccer stadium ( nothing to see). Very poor communication in advance re whether an afternoon or morning tour …a message at 230 am advised no English on morning tour so I had to completely reschedule prior plans.

Was cancelled unbeknownst to me. I messaged the operator a few times to find out what was happening with no avail. Wasted my time getting ready, waiting, and trying to contact the operator with the help of the hotel receptionist. And I want REFUND. The tour was canceled by the operator unbeknownst to me.
Great tour of Buenos Aires with Monica and Raul

My son and I had a half day tour of Buenos Aires with Raul driving and Monica guiding. It was one of the best tours I have ever taken. Monica was very knowledgeable and her English was excellent. Raul also contributed lots of interesting information as well. Definitely ask for them if you are touring Buenos Aires.

This was a good tour, well led by our guide, Pablo. His information, good humour and patience really added to the experience. A half day tour is never going to be long enough to cover all aspects/areas of a capital city, but this tour gave us feel for Montevideo. Thank you, Pablo!

I was in Montevideo while my husband was attending a conference. I learned so much about Montevideo and Uruguay from our guide, Marcella. She was extremely knowledgeable, versatile, friendly and related well to everyone in the group. She had excellent language skills and could easily change languages depending on circumstances. Sights in Montevideo are quite a distance apart and it would have been impossible to see everything in a walking tour. A nice blend of sightseeing, history and commentary.
Straightforward city tour of Montevideo

Pretty standard city tour of Montevideo. I was grouped with Portuguese speakers and ended up being the only English speaking pax. Jorge did a good job trying to explain things to me in English but I did feel slightly left out from the rest of the group. I would chalk this up to visiting Montevideo in low season so keep this in mind if booking during this time. We were in a large passenger van so it was a bit of a tight squeeze.
