What To Expect

Begin your uniquely Canadian experience at the Mont-Royal Curling Club for your private curling class.

This personalized session kicks off with engaging discussions about the history and fun facts of curling. Equipped with sliders, brooms, and an ice sheet, you'll then hit the ice for an hour and 45 minutes of hands-on learning.

Discover the techniques and intricacies of curling, one of Canada's favorite pastimes, and immerse yourself in the friendly atmosphere of the curling community. The class caters to all levels of athleticism, making it an inclusive experience for everyone.

Ensure you bring an extra pair of sneakers, comfortable sports attire, and warm accessories for the icy conditions. Note: please refrain from alcohol consumption before and during the event.

John was our instructor and he did an amazing job. He showed us curling and stick curling (definitely recommend the stick curling 😉) We learned about the rules of curling and had fun playing a few ends. Definitely going to look into continuing stick curling when I get back home to MA. Highly recommend.

So fun! We took 3 of our teenage daughters and we all had a great time. Our instructor, Ryan, taught us the basics then separated us into two teams & we played a game. The time flew by! I would highly recommend doing this!

Curling is one of those sports that you think looks goofy on TV and you don't realize how challenging it can be until you experience it in person. However, taking a class gives you not only an appreciation for the skill involved, but also the fun that can be had. My family and I signed up for this class and we all had an amazing time (including my 15 year old daughter). Damien was an outstanding instructor and made sure everyone was participating and providing helpful tips along the way. I would recommend this class in a heartbeat to anyone in the area. You will have a lot of fun and gain a new appreciation for this sport. Thank you!

Curling was so much fun! Our guide was patient and knowledgeable. Yes, you will likely stumble at first, but quickly get the hang of it. Great time had by all - definitely recommend!!

I bought this experience for my husband and two teenage children. My husband said it was awesome and my boys said it was "cracked and all our friends are jealous." I had done a learn to curl and really wanted the experience to be about them (although it really is adaptable to all ages and fitness levels). Luckily, I learned curling is just a pretext to drink and all the wonderful people at the club welcomed me to drink in the bar upstairs and watch the action below. It was one of our highlights in Montreal!

I booked this experience for my wife and I, our 15-year-old daughter and her friend. It was certainly one of the highlights of our five day trip in Montreal. We absolutely loved it and may seek out local curling. Instructor. Allaine was excellent. He was funny, insightful, and kept things moving so that we could get on the ice and play. If you are at all, curious, I would certainly recommend this.

This was such a fun experience. I wasn’t sure as this was a trek on public transport from where we were staying, but it looked like something really different to try and we had an absolute blast. The teacher (Brandon) was terrific and it gives us a new perspective on watching it on TV.

What a fun time! There is so much more to curling than meets the eye. We had a lesson, some practice runs and a full on game with the team. Our guide was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. Everyone had a great time on the ice!

We spent a few days in Montreal during oir high school children’s winter break. Curling with Nick was the highlight. It’s harder than it looks but so much fun. Putting it mildly, Nick amps up the experience. He’s a great instructor and so energetic. Just sign up. It’s a great time!
