Terrible Tour - he will only take you to sell you Teas and Carpets

This whole tour was a slow pitch sale to take you to buy expensive teas and carpets. I was picked up and taken to the mosque. As soon as we arrived the tour guide kid, started talking to me about carpets. “Ohhh have you ever heard of Kashmir Carpets?” I knew where he was going with this. Then he took me to the street of teas. For one hour or so started talking to me about how he knows this place with amazing prices and quality. For this we were just talking at a rooftop with a horrible view and smell, bugs everywhere. This place he ended up taking me didn't have good prices regardless. It was about $40 USD for a pack of teas. I was not interested either way. We had to get a Tuk Tuk to go to his tea place, and guess what? I had to pay for the ride. The kid has the nerves to tell me I have to tip the Tuk Tuk driver and on top of paying HIM! Sure it cannot get worse right? Then he tells me I also have to tip the car driver who picked me up from the hotel. Fine. I told him I would tip him and asked him to take me back to the hotel. He told me he was gonna take me to a carpet store before the hotel. I told him 4 times I didn’t want to go and I was not gonna buy anything. He basically told me that he would get in trouble with his company if he didn’t take me to the carpet shop. I agreed as soon as we walk in there I told the seller “I’m not interested, thank you it looks good” regardless of this, he kept saying oh, you can buy one for your mother or your parents. Guilt tripping me into buying it. Whole experience, extremely uncomfortable. They kept showing me carpets and carpets and I wanted to go back hotel. But wait there is more, every 20 seconds in the end the kid would say: can I ask you for something? It was either please give me a 5 star review, please send me the pictures of you, please tip the driver, please tip me. Next day he kept bugging me about 5 start reviews after I basically paid for his ride to sell me teas and carpets. Here is your 1 star review. Please tip me for this….

My tour guide Zayn was incredible. As a female solo traveler I wanted a way to experience as much of Delhi as I could and he didn’t disappoint. So much information and history that allowed me to understand the rich culture of this place. Being able to explore Old Delhi, some of the beautiful ancient structures of this city and religious buildings was something I’ll never forget.

While passing through Delhi, I took a city tour. The organization and course of the trip exceeded my expectations. Great communication with the organizer, no hidden costs. The organizers adapt to the individual wishes of the client. Great service from the guide (Ahmed Lareb): professionalism, competence, extensive knowledge. Great organization, allowing you to skip the queues, see and get to know the surroundings of the visited facilities; great organization of the meal (special appreciation!). Yes, I recommend Viator. It's a pity that I discovered this operator so late. I will definitely use again.

Layover in Delhi-- tour

I had a long layover in Delhi and signed up for the tour to see a bit of the city with the short time I had. Manav was a fantastic guide, taking me to key sites and more, like the Sikh temple, which I otherwise wouldn't have seen or experienced. He was able to answer every question i had, was fun and professional...a great guide! My only small piece of feedback was the restaurant, they made a delicious paneer tikka, but was more for tourists, however was a safe, hygienic bet compared to other places, so no complaints.

Not really impressed

The itinerary shows lunch inclusive but it was not. In fact, I have been taken to a restaurant where the food was expensive. Same food could have been consumed somewhere much cheaper with same quality. The guide was talking so fast, I had to ask him to repeat certain lines. However, the guide was nice to me and tried his best to make me feel comfortable.The saddest part is I didn’t visit India Gate, we were just drove through. I understand there’s no parking but they could have dropped me and picked me up after an hour or so.

We have clearly mentioned to our tour guide that the lunch was included but not the drinks (mentioned in itinerary). But mistakenly you have paid for the lunch including drinks that's why it became costlier than regular. Our Compensation- Here we have a good compensation for your loss and inconvenience. We can refund for your Lunch that you paid for (Drinks not included) and we will give you an extra 15% discount if you choose us again. Also we will make it sure that the tour guide will not be the same. I wish this could help and Please allow us to clear all the discrepancies you faced in this trip. Please reply to our guest relation manager so we can close this as soon as possible.

This was an amazing tour! I am very glad I took this as I am a solo female traveler and I was not comfortable going alone. My tour guide Dharmendra was awesome! He was very kind and offered so much great information that only a local could give. He answered my many questions and was great at small talk. I would highly recommend anyone to ask for him by name when booking this tour, you will be very satisfied with him and the tour . Thank you so much for a wonderful day!
