WOW! WOW! WOW! If you are visiting Delhi and have a day to do some sightseeing do not miss this opportunity. The driver will pick you up at your hotel early in the morning (4am) and you’ll get on the tollway out to Agra. I slept most of the ride but we stopped for a bathroom break and a snack probably 2 hours after leaving. From there I enjoyed watching the countryside and all of the farming.
When we arrived at the tour office I met my guide for the day, Kaif Mohd, or Kevin as he allows us tourists to call him. We went inside and he explained how the tour was going to go and if you have any customizations you would like to make, they are more than willing to accommodate you the best they can. He also explained the rules at the Taj Mahal (such as where you can and cannot take pictures, and no chemicals are allowed). We hopped back in the car and drove to the Taj Mahal. After going through security we met with a photographer who wanted to 6,000 rupees for 60 pictures and for being a single person on my own tour, I wanted less pictures so we negotiated but were unable to come up with a deal. By the way, one of my favorite parts of Delhi is negotiating, you can and should negotiate everything and anything, trust me it’s expected and fun. So the second photographer told me he could do 10 pictures for 1,000 rupees but ultimately we settled on 20 so we could have some fun with them and off we went. Kaif/Kevin spoke very good English and was very easy to understand and can explain the rich history very well. Once we walked through the courtyards, and up to the Taj Mahal, he allowed me to enter and explore on my own at any speed I wanted. I chose to go slowly and truly soak in the entire experience. I’m not lying when I say this experience was life changing.
Upon leaving the Taj Mahal, we jumped in a Tim Tuk and this is where the typical tour would continue to the other local attractions but I was tired from 2 previous days of sightseeing so this is where we ended my personalized tour. We stopped at a shop that makes marble inlay the old way, using old tools which was impressive and after some negotiation I am taking some wonderful pieces home with me. You can even try cutting and polishing stones while you are there and I highly recommend you do.
After that we returned to the tour office, picked up some free souvenirs and they inspected the vehicle to ensure it would safely get me back to Delhi and back on the toll road we went. This time I was awake for the entire trip and really got to see many interesting things on the back. Rice fields, corn fields, 4 people riding on a scooter together, people making bricks, buffalo and cows in the road, and so much more. We stopped for food and a break about halfway back which was nice and then I was dropped off at my hotel. Just a perfect expert from start to finish.
If you only do one thing in Delhi while you are visiting, don’t miss this tour!!!

Arham was a very friendly, cheerful (but still professional), and knowledge tour guide. He was flexible adjusting the stories to the level of details we needed, and also keeping the Taj Mahal story in the context of all India, highliting its importance to country and history. Arham was a great advisor as it comes to the lunch and Indian cuisine. All in a friendly and professional atmosphere. I highly recommend Arham to everyone!

Once in a lifetime experience made easy by booking, landwey, driver and guide (Amit)! Not a fan of sales tactics used during trip to solicit purchases (photos, trinkets) although some may appreciate those services.

Solo female traveler in Agra and had the most amazing and magical day! My guide was Amaan and he helped me bring all my Taj Mahal dreams come true. I had a very custom itinerary that I wanted to do and my guide happily took me to the places I wanted to go. I even had a list of things I wanted to eat and he took me to each and every one so I could cross them off my list. So thankful and so thoughtful! Taj Mahal was grander than I had ever imagined. It was a dream come true to visit there and also see all of the Indian people from all over the country. I wanted to dress up in formal wear and Im so glad I did it. It was an experience I could never forget. Thank u Amaan for taking pics and vids for me since I was travelling solo. Hes a great photographer. Thank u to the tour company for fast communication and always checking up on me. 100 percent would def come back for this tour again with my daughter one day.!!
