This is my third time with North Coast Seabob Reef Tour. I LOVE it!!! I'm a SCUBA & SNUBA diver, but I would rather Seabob. I took my 2 grandsons on this trip. Both the 12 year old and 11 year old took to it immediately. They are both good athletes, but undersized for their ages. Still, they didn't have ANY problem. Alex, the tour guide, is great. Be sure to have him show you what he does with his pelican friend. You won't regret this tour.

Returning Guest- Still My Favorite Activity!

8 turtles, a crawling starfish, a massive school of fish so deep and expansive that it blocked the sunlight from the water- Doris riding on multiple seabobs.. this outing was a highlight of our trip and Alex was the best. I took the tour solo last year and my husband and daughter (15) came this year and they had an absolute blast. We’ll be back again next time!

Felt like a marketing scam. Stated 2 hours. Even after handing out equipment , gathering folks together, and a 5 minute training session, I was back in the car at the 65 minute mark. 2 points off for probably spending just 50 minutes max with the seabob. Another point off for not carrying or offering a video recording- again falsely advertised, else would have brought my own. Not going down to 1 star because the short time we were one the water, I enjoyed. Especially the bit with the pelican sitting on the seabob and eating fish that Alex found. Would not recommend overall for the steep price.

Did not get to do it because I was left waiting in the lobby. Tried reaching out to the tour operator numerous times but no response. Speak with them and they ask to reschedule or refund so I asked for refund but speaking with the Viator operator they stated they wouldn’t provide me one even after showing that I had reached out with no response.

We loved taking the seabobs under and through the water - it felt like we were dolphins at times! We also saw a sea turtle and sting ray along with some colorful fish. The only improvement would be that I would like to have done some more exploration of reefs. Overall, highly recommended!

We have used Alex 3 times in the past two years and will continue to use him when we come to Aruba. He makes the experience amazing by showing you cool coral, amazing fish and turtles, and ship wrecks. We highly recommended using him.

Trip Cancel at Last Minute

The reason I’m giving it a one is because we were notified one hour before we were to meet up that the trip was canceled because of the rough seas. What I don’t understand is why we were not notified the day before when they knew the seas would probably be rough the next day. This left us with no excursions available for Aruba for the rest of the day. This is the second excursion through Viator that got canceled during this trip. I understand the cancellation of the first excursion, due to lack of participation, and we appreciate them, letting us know way in advance so we could schedule another excursion. I am awaiting a refund for the North Shore Sea Bob. Excursion.

Best time on the island

This was the coolest thing we did on the island. Alex the tour guide is great and very experienced and knowledgeable of the island and it’s waters. The seabob is everything you like with snorkeling except all the hard work. Alex caught some little fish with his hands, waives I’m in the air and huge pelicans and other giant birds came swooping down to grab them out of his hand. I watched alex tip over a large rock and find a small starfish which he brought to surface for us to see. There was a pelican which he called “Dori” that literally landed on his seabob and rode on it for a good while. We saw sea turtles, tons of beautiful fish and beautiful reefs. All in all it was a great experience. Thanks Alex!

Worst experience we had on Aruba

We went on this tour with two kids, 12 and 16. This tour was the worst experience of our 9-day trip to Aruba! First of all, this is NOT a snorkeling tour: you have only the mask on and put your face under the water only for as long as you can hold your breath. The seabobs are so big, you can't see anything in front of you and if you tilt to put your face on the side of it, you just roll off. Also, these things are so clunky and uncomfortable, we ended up with bruises all over our arms and chests. There were 20 people in the group, with one guide leading and one at the back, to make sure nobody is left behind. There was no safety talk, no agreed-upon way to indicate that you're in trouble and need to go back. They just tell you to hold onto this thing and then take you into the deep. I'm not a very confident swimmer and felt very vulnerable once we got far from the shore, and I was not the only one. I was holding onto the seabob so tightly, I thought my arms would fall off just 10 minutes into the tour. Also, we were picked up at our hotel at the time they themself designated but when we got to their location they hurried us up with putting on the gear and the sunscreen because 16 people were already waiting for us, as if it was our fault they picked us up so late. The only reason I gave this tour two stars is because once my husband and kids gave up on "snorkeling" they started to just cruise around and had fun doing that for a bit. But it definitely wasn't worth the money we payed for this activity. I highly recommend doing a tour with Aruba Bob instead: they have groups of 8 people max and have built-in safety signals. They offer wet suites which give you some buoyancy as well as warmth. Their motorized things are much smaller and easier to deal with. And they take you to much more interesting places with a much more sea life.

Excellent time with Alex guiding our Seabob tour. These things are so easy to use and awesome. The water is warm and very clear so we saw plenty of turtles, sea rays, and tropical fish.

was one of the coolest things I’ve ever done, and you’ll say forget about snorkeling once you’ve done this! If you have high prescription glasses, make sure to bring your own prescription goggles.

Like snorkeling on steroids

We weren't sure what to expect going into this one. Turns out it was probably our favorite excursion during our week-long stay. It is so cool to be able to jet around under water and see all of the sea life. It was like snorkeling on steroids. Our guide was very chill and made everything quite easy. He also showed us some cool sea life that we might have otherwise missed.

Please do this! 100/10 my bff and I loved it we would come back to Aruba just to do it, every new place we go to im asking do they have seabobbing. So much better than snorkeling and in my opinion because you get to explore so much with the machine. It's like underwater jet ski. Definitely bring a go pro or underwater phone case. We were going to pay for the go pro through the company however they were unavailable from being broken so bring your own. We hate we didn't get pictures underwater or while we were doing it for the memories. The reefs are beautiful it was just so nice the water felt amazing aside from the saltiness which to be expected. It's a workout so be prepared but such an amazing experience we won't forget literally one of the best excursions we've done to date since we travel often.
