    Totally recommend this tour!

To begin with I was a little worried at first where we had to meet tour company at the train station and because of how big and busy it is. But the HIS tour company was very organized and we were able to find them quickly. they walked with us and placed us where we needed to go at the train stop. Afterwards we met up with our tour guide, Kumiko, who was awesome and very knowledgeable. She was so very friendly as well as her assistants. It was a large group and they had to hire an extra bus but it was all very well organized even with the occasional wanderers. The tour itself was very nice we really enjoyed the itinerary. Hiroshima was a somber reminder of what the effects of war and weapons of mass destruction can do, the number of deaths, especially those of the children that died. The city also shows the resilience of the Japanese citizens and how the city was rebuilt while at the same time leaving reminders of what casualties war can leave behind. They try to also remind us of the need for peace and how we need to get rid of these weapons that are much stronger than what they had to experience. I just wish the peace museum was a little more controlled and that they allow certain amount of people in at a time. It is hard to really experience the full effect of the museum when you can't really see the exhibits or have time to read them. It was a packed room and the exhibits were overwhelmed. Fortunately at the exit of the museum there was a mini exhibit with some experiences as well which do hit you in the heart. I can't imagine what it would have been like in the main area. The Hiroshima version of Okonomiyaki that they took us to for Lunch was incredible. we loved the whole concept of them being cooked right before us and placed on the grill to keep warm as we eat them, Oishii! Miyajima was so beautiful and very wonderful resort Island which we will be coming to when we visit Japan again. They had great snacks and the environment was lively. All in all an excellent tour experience and kudos Kumicko for a wonderful experience!!
    Must do

Very good the guides are amazing and very helpful it can feel a lil rushed but mostly that’s because some people on our tour were always late so it cut the time at places but over all it was fantastic
    Highly Recommend

Great tour. Very interesting and our guide little Joe was knowledgeable and always happy to chat I wish we had more time at the museum
Wonderful full day at Hiroshima & Miyajima.

The HIS team members were very organised at the first meeting point at Shin-Osaka train station to give me my return Shinkansen tickets and they even waited with everyone to get onboard the train. Then the HIS team members at Hiroshima were wonderful. I would like to make a special mention to the wonderful tour guide who wanted us to call him Little Joe who has great knowledge and experience of all things of Hiroshima & Miyajima. We were given an itinerary at the beginning by Little Joe and the whole day went as planned. The lunch was a traditional Hiroshima meal and at a location I wouldn't have known. It was delicious and enjoyable. I am really glad I made the decision to visit Hiroshima and Miyajima, and if you're sitting on the fence, just go for it as it will be an interesting tour to do. The weather wasn't the best and the museum was a bit overcrowded but the tour was still very much worth doing in my opinion and overall I am very happy with my decision to take this tour. Hiroshima probably can be done on multiple days but if you don't have that option then this tour is the way to go. Thank you to the whole HIS team for the wonderful day and a special big thank you to Massahiko Joguchi AKA Little Joe but I will remember you as Hiroshima Salsa Joe for leading the tour great and for being funny and very friendly.
    Disappointing

The guide was difficult to understand, her instructions were not clear and she didn’t appear to have a lot of knowledge. The audio device was next to useless, which put a dampener on the whole experience
If you visit Osaka this is a great day tour!

Sachi-San, Sato-san and Mr. Kawamoto gave us a great tour of Hiroshima and Miyajima. It was great that the tour started with Hiroshima as you do leave the memorial with a heavy heart. Miyajima brightens your spirit with its refreshing views and wonderful street stalls filled with all sorts of fun snacks! Wish we had more time to shop but totally recommend this tour!
Brilliant tour to experience the horror of the Hiroshima bombing in WW2

Our tour leader, Tom, was a wealth of knowledge. He brought the tour to life with interesting facts throughout the tour.
    An amazing day out

Hiroshima Memorial Park and Museum was incredibly moving. I wish I could have spent longer in the museum as there was so much to read and understand. Miyajima is beautiful however was slightly spoilt with huge numbers of school trips so on the ferry there, and on the island, it was pretty busy. If I could make any suggestion, it would be to increase the time at the museum and on the island. Sachi, our guide, was lovely. She was informative, friendly and kind. We had ear-pieces so we could always hear her when there was background noise.
A most rewarding one day visit to Hiroshima and Miyajima

A poignant and sombre yet necessary visit to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, a reminder that the true nature of war is to serve war itself, nothing more. Next stop Hiroshima style Okonomiyaki for lunch simply delicious, followed by a scenic ferry ride to the beautiful island of Miyajima where we were greeted by the Itsukushima Jinja Otorii before a tour of the spectacular Itsukushima Shrine. Be prepared for an early rise for the day if travelling from Osaka as we did, long travel time and long queues, and experience a most rewarding and memorable tour. Our guide, Kumi was exceptional. Highly recommended.
    Awesome experience

H.I.S. Was great! If we can give them 10 stars, we will. They will meet you at the station, we met in Shin Osaka station. The guy who met us, Iman, was very friendly awesome guy, he took us inside the station up to the front of the train, wait until we got in. We got there after an hour. When we got out of station, another staff of HIS came to welcome us, including our tour guide, Kumiko. She was awesome! We were all 37 participants and she was great. She provided transmitter so we can hear her. Fluent in English, very attentive. The bus driver was awesome too. Offered us bottled water. Very accommodating . The tour was great. From museum, peace park. We had lunch at this restaurant by the ferry terminal. Never had okonomiyaki, it was filling. But really great. Then, rode JR Ferry to Miyajima. We had the tour to the shrine, then was given an hour to walk around. There’s alot of stores and restaurants. Don’t touch the deers! They look friendly but they’re after your ice cream or manju. Overall, it was an awesome experience. I’m glad we booked this tour. Learned a lot about Hiroshima. Thanks to Kumiko and the staff of HIS
    Great tour!
