Outstanding walking tour!

After touring for weeks, this is one of the best tours I booked. A great one to see the highlights of Osaka in a day. Andy was fabulous educating us about Japanese culture, history, and anything we wanted to know. I would highly recommend this tour - definitely worth your time and money!

I saw and learned a lot during this walking tour. It was like having all the items from a tasting menu of an excellent restaurant. Our guide, Scott, was informative and nice; a good and patient photographer even! He also offered his help if we have questions and/or need recommendations in the area, even after our tour is already finished. Definitely recommend especially to those who don’t have much time exploring Osaka.

A great mixture of history and interesting sights led by a very enthusiastic and knowledgable guide called Scott. The group was a great size and the pace was perfect and let even the slowest walkers participate comfortably. Would recommend this to anyone who enjoys an interesting and varied day.

Fantastic tour! Andy did a phenomenal job explaining all about Osaka. History, culture, food, and personal anecdotes that helped you understand Osaka on a deeper level. Really appreciated the fun day in Osaka. Be prepared to walk a lot (which is good exercise), hop on and off a few subway trains, and be ready to soak in Osaka. Andy was the best tour guide for Osaka. He was knowledgeable, funny, honest, and full of interesting stories. We really got a feel for the city’s culture and history and secrets during this walking tour. He is the history teacher everyone wished they had in high school. I highly recommend this experience.

Scott was so good in just not delivering a normal tour with a flag and umbrella. He told it how it is. He puts his own personality in to the tour and took time out to get to know us all. He also took us to some hidden spots and spoilt us with lunch. He even walked us those extra miles so we could enjoy Osaka. Thank you for your hospitality and your genuine friendship.

A really informative, enjoyable yet relaxed walking tour. Scott was great, looked after the whole group really well and was fun, friendly and knowledgable. Osaka Castle is a must and Scott brought all of the back streets and shopping districts to life for us with countless accounts of their heritage and points of interest. A few thousand steps all in all but we took it easy with plenty of breaks. We would thoroughly recommend the tour.

It’s a lot of walking covering a lot of ground as there is so much to see and do! Andy shared tips about the area and culture and food. Andy is a fantastic tour guide. On the one hand he understands the history of Japan at a very deep level (due to his history background) and on the other hand he similarly understands the Japanese culture and can contrast it with norms in other parts of the world. Lastly, he has a wickedly good sense of British humour (Ricky Gervais meets bohemian music nerd)! We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Andy and our only complaint is that we could have spent a few more hours taking in the history and his stories along the way.

We are a couple in our thirtys from Oregon, USA. This tour could not have been any better. Andy was extremely knowledgeable about Japanese history, politics, curent and past social norms. He was very clear when giving opinions, generalizations, and personal experience. Andy was willing to answer any questions without hesitation. Osaka was very intense when we arrive and we didn't want to venture out. Andy made us feel welcome, showing us how to get around. Andy made Osaka fun for us. Osaka is unique and not like anywhere else in Japan.
