What To Expect

From the skyscrapers of Panama City to the impressive Miraflores locks of the Panama Canal, you’re introduced to the most famous attractions of the capital city on this city sightseeing hop-on hop-off tour. Your sightseeing tour begins at the Multicentro, but you can board the open-top double-decker bus at any of the stops along the route—using your 24- or 48-hour pass.

Listen to interesting recorded commentary on the historical background of each sight; learn how the 50-mile-long (80-km) Panama Canal, first opened in 1914, transports ships from sea level to 85 feet (26 meters) via a series of gravity-powered locks. You can disembark at any stop to explore Panama City at your own pace.

At the modern Multicentro, find plenty of local shops, restaurants, and cafés where you can try authentic Panamanian dishes (own expense). To explore even more shops and restaurants, stop at Isla Flamenco.

Guide was informative; however, seating was uncomfortable and it felt rushed. Suggestions would be seat change and cooler of water for customers.

Our tour guide, whose name I didn’t fully catch, was so welcoming and informative! This tour is a great way to see and explore different areas of Panamá City and learn more about the city and its history. You have either 24 or 48 hours from the time of activation (first getting on the bus) to enjoy the tour, depending on the option you select. The first tour starts at 9am and the last tour of the day picks up from the Monticentro at or around 3pm. We activated our tickets at 3pm on the first day and was able to come back anytime the next day until 3pm. Please be patient with the bus arrival times as traffic can be very heavy during the day and cause minor delays. Thank you so much for an amazing tour!! We decided to do it last minute and the tour really advanced our stay in Panama!

Unlike Cartagena in Columbia this was dreadful. Very poor information on route and we stayed on whole trip to run back to Old Town stop and had to get taxi back to port at cost of over 100usd. Map and route not good with a lot of double backing all in all experience to forget.

Just half the tour!

Tour guides were great. However due to holiday half the stops were closed. Not advised when booking through viator.com about this.

Waste of money.

The bus only runs every 75 minutes. We got on at 2:50 pm at stop 11 and were told at stop 13 at the end of the line that we had to get off and there were no more busses. It was 3:15 pm at this time. We had to hail an Uber to get back to our hotel. The next day wasn't much better. The information provided was common knowledge in most cases. What a waste of money!

Not a very good experience

The info on web pages is different one show the start at 9:30 am and another at 9:00 so we miss the first bus for that. The bus has not a good maintenance and was in bad condition. At the middle of the trip the bus broken and we remain more than an hour waiting for the rescue that never arrived, so we had to take the following bus. The compani have only two buses in operation. The bus made a 10 minute stop, at the last island but they never stay 10 minutes but more than 20. The people is kind but the management and the equipment is poor.

Double Decker Bus

The route was very interesting. The narration was very informative. The personnel were gracious and friendly. The bus had a cover over the upper level to protect from the sun. The only downside was that the buses were one hour and a quarter apart. We could have made another stop if they had been closer together.

Trip to Panama canal and flamenco island were good but only goes in one direction so options too limited. One day it missed stops 4 and 4 completely with no explanation! So on second day my money was wasted

Do not buy ticketd

How dare you sell tickets to the service that does not operate. There was no buses doing this Hop-On Hop-Off service. Instead there were taxi hawks on the bus stop offering there services. You are putting people in danger situation with your false ticket sales.

The tour did not tell you that you had to walk to the office to receive your so called mobile ticket. Also, the stops weren’t easy to find and some of our group had difficulty downloading the tickets.

Waste of your money

This bus is a great idea but they need to work on some stuff to make it better. They have no time scheduled for this bus. The first stop we deiced to get off at. We were told we had 1 hour and 15 mins to be back. We got back within an hour and was standing waiting . When the security guard told us that the bus came early and left us. So we had to wait another 1 hour and 15 mins which this time the bus was late. The lady that did the tour we couldn't understand her and hard to hear. We was also told that we can get a free drink and discount on our food but that didn't happen. Do not get on this bus late afternoon because it will be a waste of your money.
