      A wonderfully idiosyncratic introduction to Père Lachaise

      There were numerous interesting facts relating to parts of the cemetery, the tombs & who was buried in them.. From the sublime (Chopin’s tomb) to the ridiculous (the tomb ready for a woman who is clearly not dead yet!) & the disappointing (why is Sarah Bernhardt’s tomb so hidden away?) there were spaces & stories to entertain, inspire & horrify. We had a very interesting afternoon & will be recommending it to others.

      Had a wonderful walking tour with Max. Very informative and entertaining. He gave us a better understanding of Parisian history and the people who made it famous. His tour was one of the highlights of our week-long stay and I highly recommend it to everyone, especially film buffs. I know we never would have found the graves by ourselves or had an understanding of who they were without him. Thank you, Max!

      This was a really great tour. Max is a really knowledgeable and charismatic guide, I really enjoyed listening to the stories of the past. I was a bit confused about the time the tour begins, Viator clarified to me that the tour is every two hours and you can request the time that works for you.

      Max is een ontzettend aardige man. Hij leert je Pere Lachaise goed kennen, de bekende en minder bekende plekken. Hij neemt de tijd voor de rondleiding en is oprecht geïnteresseerd in wie hij rondleidt. Een absolute aanrader!
