Formerly a humble hunting lodge, the Palace of Versailles (Château de Versailles) is the extravagant creation of King Louis XIV, AKA the Sun King. Embellished in royal decadence, Versailles features hundreds of rooms with frescoed ceilings and carvings, plus the Versailles Gardens (Jardins de Versailles), which brim with geometrically designed walkways and fountains. No visit to France is complete without visiting the royal residence.

Great tour, highly recommend
This tour was great and exactly what we were looking for. The tour bus was very clean and comfortable and the drive to/from Paris was smooth and on time. Our group was the perfect size, around 10 people in all. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining and did a great job showing us around the palace and grounds while explaining the history. He also pointed out interesting sites and bits of information on the drive to and from Versailles.

Great guides and bus driver, be on time!
Michelle was passionate about money and sharing his history and influences. She added a lot of energy and was very great and organizing all of us to avoid misses busses and stops. Severin was also fantastic at sharing the history of Versailles and the three Louis. This group is basic so simple clean bus, but passionate tour guides. Really enjoyed it!
