    Great experience!
    Chris_N, Apr 2024
This was a great experience! Sergio was our guide and did an excellent job of educating us on the Parmigiano and prosciutto tours. The balsamic tour was excellent as well. We enjoyed all of the tastings offered. It was well planned and a great way to spend the day! Highly recommend!
Best tour to do in Italy
    Michelle_R, Jan 2024
We had a great time in our tour. Our guide was Mattia and he was very knowledgeable and funny, a great tour guide, and we totally recommend having this tour with him. We recommend sitting in the front seats if you don't want to miss anything, and leave the back seats for people that want to rest or talk in the way to the different producers. You get samples in each place, but we totally recommend buying cheese and the balsamic because it's out of this world. By the end of the tour, we actually requested to be dropped at Modena's train station so we could get to know the city, and Mattia was kind enough to do that for us. We had the best time visiting Emilia-Romagna and we can't wait to go back and experience more of the amazing food Italy has to offer.
A must do if you're in the Emilia-Romagna region

This trip is a must do if you're in Emilia-Romagna which is essentially the food capital of Italy. Everything was explained beautifully and our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the places and their products including the traditional history behind it. We also got to sample everything from the variously aged Parmigiano cheeses to the prosciutto Parma and the variously aged balsamic vinegar, understanding the effect that the aging and method of preparation has on the final flavour of the products. The tastes and smells of all three products is heavenly and a experience every foodie should try. They were also very accommodating of requests and incredibly helpful during the entire trip. Thank you very much!
Well worth the trip to Parma!

We had the pleasure of spending the day with Matte (sp?) on this food tour. We were picked up right at our hotel (NH Parma) which was very convenient. He was so passionate about food production, and we learned so much at every stop on the tour. He was very friendly and relaxed and made the tour very enjoyable and knowledgeable. The samples at each stop were ample and washed down with wine. When we got to the balsamic vinegar producer, we had a local guide named Roberto who was also very knowledgeable and passionate about his field of work. We sampled many vinegars and enjoyed picking out bottles to take home. Overall, both guides were fantastic, accommodating, passionate, friendly, and welcoming to their region in Italy. Their pride was very evident on the tour. We went home with some delicious food and a wealth of knowledge. Would highly recommend this tour if you are interested in food and the local area. (Note: There are bathrooms available at each location)
Parmalook: a fun, delicious and slightly disorganized treat

I wish that more information was offered regarding the description online as well as information about the drive to each location. Our tour guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable. Also a reminder that there won't be a large meal would be helpful
    Worth getting up early for!

We’ll never forget the aromas we encountered at each stop. Such concentrated olfactory memories will always bring back these experiences when we enjoy three of our favorite foods. Our guide was exceptional. He made our day fun, comfortable and informative.
    Very educational

The pickup from the Parma train station was well-planned and punctual. Our guide and driver Mattia was amazing. He was very knowledgeable about the Parmigiano and prosciutto-making process and above all very friendly which is very important in an 8-hour long tour. You could tell that he was passionate and enjoyed educating people. Thank you! You get to taste all the products but they are just that, tasters. For the price, I was expecting a bit more variety and or quantity of tasters. Tasting balsamic out of a spoon can be rough, maybe adding some bread can help. Make sure to bring a snack and water.
    Good tour. We’ll worth it

The parmigiana cheese factory tour was great. Saw the whole process from beginning to end really fascinating! The Parma ham processing plant was not active but we had a good explanation of the salting and aging process. So that was interesting also. I was somewhat disappointed at the balsamic vinegar place. The lady’s English was not great and her explanation of how the grape juice was made into vinegar instead of wine was not clear. We did get to taste many varieties of vinegar that she made and did understand about the qualities to look for when buying good balsamic vinegar. Her vinegar was very good and we did buy some bottles.
    Don’t miss this tour!

This trip was one of the highlights of our stay in Bologna. It was an easy train ride to Parma where our tour guide Loris was waiting for us in an air conditioned tour van. The first stop at the cheese factory was informative fun and tasty!!!! Next stop on to the Parma ham also extremely informative and interesting again with a great sampling both with wine! Last stop which may have been our favorite was in Modena to the Balsamic Production and tasting. Every where we went everyone was lovely friendly and interesting. But one of he highlights of our trip was our tour guide Loris. Warm, interesting, informative snd passionate about his city and the amazing products produced there. His sense of humor was contagious! He gave us the tour in perfect English despite the fact he has only been speaking it for 11 months. I highly recommend this tour.
Fun, educational and delicious food tour of Parma!

The entire presentation was well done. The tours were very well run, educational and we learned a lot about Parmigiano, Prosciutto and Balsamic Vinegar!
Educational, informative, comfortable, fascinating and FUN

My first time in Parma. Mattia was an amazing tour guide, brimming with great information. He is a Parmigiano himself and it’s obvious he is very passionate and proud about these delicacies produced in his hometown and wants to share the history and culture to educate unaware citizens. My almost 12 year old daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this adventure and learned so much. We highly highly recommend! I saw some younger kids on the tour who looked miserable. I think to get the most out of it, I would not recommend for kids younger than 9-10, depending on focus level. If your kid has the wiggles I would wait till they’re older. I left my restless 9 yo with her dad back home and no regrets.
    Yummy tastings and very informational

We felt that the tour was very well planned and timed. Some people had a problem getting to the meeting point, but we had very good communication with the operator. We started with the smaller local cheese factory. Amazing and the cheese master showed us each step along the way. The end product was fantastic. Our guide was very knowledgeable. Next was the Parma Ham factory. Again our guides were knowledgeable and showed us the complete process. Obviously the highlight was tasting the Parma Ham & wine. Next on to the Balsamic Vinegar. So very interesting. Again, tastings. We would recommend this to anyone who really likes these products.
nice activity for a day in Parma

The guide was very good. The cheese part is the most interesting. The gift shops are a bit pricey. All in all, a very good experience.

Matteo was amazing.. and answered every question. He was detailed, and really helped us see how this all works. Love this tour. 10 stars!!!
    Great day for foodies

Our tour guide was an amazing local person who knew a lot about the parmigiano cheese process. We got to see many things. We understood everything that was going on at all the stops, including the parmigiano factory, the pursuit of factory and tasting balsamic vinegar. Everything was organized and the guide even offer to drop us at a closer train station after the tour and always he was courteous and fantastic. Highly recommend this tour.
    50/50 Experience
    Janet_T, May 2023
Parma ham and cheese experiences excellent. We did not go to the Balsamic purveyor that was advertised on our ticket (G. Giusti) and where we went the person there did not communicate adequately in English. She could not understand our questions nor explain things adequately. Cheese A+ Ham A Balsamic D
    Wonderful tour

Amazing tour and inside look at Parmesan, Parma ham and balsamic production. Tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable, transportation was easy and sampling was wonderful. We appreciated the sparkling white wine to accompany the cheese and ham tastings. Highly recommend this full day tour.
LOVED THIS!! One of our favorites while in Italy!
    Sarah_L, Apr 2023
Peter was our driver and tour guide and was fantastic!! He had so much to share at each location and then even more on our drives to and from each tour. We were a group of 6 and in a private van - my only complaint here is it was hard to hear him when we talked in the van because I was sitting in the back seat - but my husband was up front with him so he shared it all later. Each tour - Parmigiano Cheese, Parma Ham and Balsamic - were filled with information and delicious tastings! And Wine!! This is a must do while in Parma - it does take a good part of the day but it was worth it!
Great tour - very interesting and engaging

My family loved the cheese, ham, and balsamic vinegar tour. Wonderful way to spend the day in Parma. Very informative, great tour guides, and the tastings were fun and delicious.
