Driver was cranky and patronising. He got us there efficiently. Not sure why a minimum of 100 characters is required

not sure why you would write that as our drivers always try their hardest to ensure you have the very best experience. Also im not sure why you need minimum of 100 characters? Maybe cause your booking thru a third party site and their requirements are different? Least "he" got you there efficiently :)

Booked months in advance.
Apparently the pick up time is sent via a separate email. Explained I didn't receive this but assumed the times were hourly or met flights.
Tour operator referred me to a manager who would not listen to anything I had to say but instead said I should have checked the booking. Continued to cut me off and hurl abuse over the phone. Even my uber driver was shocked.
I tried to explain multiple times that booking was made directly over the phone with viator and I was not expecting to receive multiple emails with information, not did I receive the pick up time, which was 3hrs after our flight landed??
It did not make sense to me that a company would think that was reasonable.
I tried to explain situation to viator who sent me generic responses stating that they cannot issue a refund. Tried to explain I was not looking for a refund.
Absolutely tiring, frustrating, incredibly annoying. In the end I have up a I just wanted to enjoy my holiday.
Take an uber! They're $120.
I will never use Viator again, although I have recommended them over the years they are definitely not the same company now.
Learned my lesson for $80.

Hi Jo,
It's Leanne here from Beep Beep Toot, Operations Manager and one our drivers. I accepted your original booking through Viator, it comes through as an email to us that you our guest has booked on a third party website and we confirmed your booking and pick up time thru the "Viator" messaging system (not by email as you stated). We assume you have read the product outline and understand what you are booking, as most people do including myself, who has used Viator around the world, you book, you check your junk mail for emails that may not make it into your mail. You read what they say and then if you aren't happy you cancel it.
So in June and NOT MONTHS AGO (6 weeks) when I accepted your booking for an 11.25am flight, we assumed you would of known that you would know that our PRODUCT SAYS:
- How To Catch Your Bus: Allow At least 45-60 Minute Between Flight Arrival T2 & The Shuttle Timetable
- Shuttle Departing Cairns Airport Domestic T2 : 740am | 955am | 1140am | 155pm | 340pm
Clearly your were aware that you would need to wait until the 1.55pm shuttle if you read the product description. As 15 minutes is not 45-60 minutes. YES your plane arrived early but we are not to know what the plane is going to do when you book. We would have been happy to have put you on an earlier shuttle if we had one going that day which we didn't as we had private transfers occurring at that time.
And can I Please state why we give you this time between arrival and departure.
Flights get delayed, and yes I have seen it people get a little unhappy if they are sitting in a bus waiting for the flight that is 15 minutes late, and I am sure you would too if YOU had to wait.

Our phone operator apologised to you numerous times and you called him “Disgusting” because you didn't get what you wanted.
We try so hard to please our guests, if we can move their tranfer to an earlier available one (with room) we do, 99% of our guests are happy with our services, it just takes the odd one like you, who leaves a bad review because they didn't get what they wanted,.

Highly recommended! LeeAnn was such a delight even though it was after hours schedule, she showed up promptly and happy. She also picked us up early to return us to the airport. If you are looking for transportation with a local expertise, this is where you need to book.
