Poor
Kelly_S, May 2024
I was disappointed in this tour.Czech was the third country we visited on this vacation. We have taken a tour each day and I have rated them all a 4 or 5. This tour was in English. Our guide had such heavily accented English and spoke so fast I could hardly understand him and English is my only language. There were many people on our trip who could understand English but it was not their first language - they would have gotten nothing from the trip. When people did ask questions he was aloof and dismissive so people stopped asking. No where on our tour did it say anything about having 1 hour to stop for lunch on our own so we ate prior. Overall not a great experience, a wasted day in Czech
Worth the Visit

Quite interesting to see the Bone Church. The guide was very informative. The last stop at a cafe was quite enjoyable.
Unique and worth the trip.

Peter was such a good guide. I saw way more than I thought I would. Love the cafe stop. The churches were beautiful and very impressive.
The Teacher from the Peanuts and the worlds smelliest bus: a hellscape
Bianca_V, Aug 2023
While the price is much cheaper than others, and convenient for the guaranteed transport, there’s a reason for that. Your transport is a sprinter van, modified with rather slim and hard seats, to sit 20-25 people. There’s very little AC, so if your tour has teens with strong BO, you’ll be choking on that stage miasma for two hours both way, as they never crack a window or turn the AC up to actually be effective. Then, once at the tour, you find it’s not just Kutna Hora, but three cathedrals, so you only get about 30-40 minutes in each place, but your guide will spend at least 25-30 proselytizing all of the religious lore. I know the point of the tour is information, but I don’t need every year it was build and every person involved, because consistently it left us with 5-8 minutes to actually look around and take pictures, because she would always lecture at us from one spot. There’s no room for dilly dallying or getting a drink, taking your own pictures styled how you’d like: it’s like a teacher expects you to move along and listen. THEN, after all of these, you get to the square of Kutna Hora about five hours in. The guide will spend so much time showing you relics you did not ask for, that you’ll be left 30 minutes to find a place to eat with a restroom, because she won’t have one nearby or point one out. But you better finish all the food, because none is allowed on the bus. It’s a cute little town, with great shops and interesting views, and you spent over an hour getting there. Time to enjoy it would’ve been nice without the droning of the unenthused guide. Then, you get back on the bus thinking, okay, we did the tour, she’ll let us sleep. There can’t possibly be more to talk about. No, she’ll continue to drown about the Prague suburbs and how the city has changed for an hour and a half, in the hot bus, stinking of BO where you choke on the stale, smelly air. The ease of transport was good and convenient, but this guide needs to shorten her spiel by about 30% to the interesting and necessary information. It’s a tour for adults, not children, and the herding around with little time to enjoy and make it your own experience is very annoying. Really, in six hours, you couldn’t find the time to stop talking, or really let people enjoy the location? Stop it. Insanely enough, she even prefaced the tour with time to drink/eat and use the restroom wasn’t guaranteed!! So if we’re bad, you just get to hold it for six hours? Please stop.
Excellent

Sophie, the guide was very knowledgable and answered any questions asked. She kept a head count of the group throughout. Regarding the description from the company it wasn't clear whether you stop for food and drink or not. We did stop for food/drink in the town

Definitely worth a visit

St. Barbara's is beautiful, as is the old town part of Kutna Hora. The bone church didn't appeal to me personally, but still worth a look. We got plenty of time to look around and see a bit of the old town too. The tour guide Uli, was very helpful and informative and also gave us lots of info about the country's history on the drive there. She was keen to look after everyone which I thought was really lovely. The mini bus was very clean and comfy. A great half day trip which I highly recommend.
Good experience

It's a nice half day trip out of Prague if you have extra days. The tour guide was nice and friendly. The vehicle was comfortable.
Great Tour

This city, just outside Prague, is a must-see! The guide gave interesting information on the tour. The Bone Church was eerie and Kutna Hora was a sleepy little town. I'm glad I went on this tour.

It's a must see Bone church was amazing Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly it was a great half day excursion
Unpleasant tour guide, not enough time
Julia M, Nov 2018
It started out rough because it wasn't stated we couldn't have drinks on the bus and it was cold outside so I had to throw away my just bought Starbucks drinks. Then the tour guide seemed grumpy and when she was done talking about stuff she would ask," anyone have questions?" and then when no one asked something she would say "good." The one time someone did ask something the tour guide looked at the person asking and rudely said,"what?" There wasn't enough time to enjoy lunch, souvenir shop, and use the bathroom. The bone church was so cool to see but after the tour guide explained about the church we were given 15min to take pictures and shop and get back to the bus which alone was at least a 5 min walk so really we only had 10 min. This was the part of our Prague trip that I was really looking forward to. From the begining it left a bad taste in my mouth. I would recommend the Bone church , but not through this tour company.

The tour was OK. The tour guide was lukewarm. The Bone Church was a little underwhelming. It felt like the catacombs in a church. No more than 10 minutes MAX are needed to explore. The St. Barbara Church was a spectacular sight to see from the outside. Some interesting things inside too. The rest of the tour was lukewarm. If you have nothing else to do, then I suggest it. Otherwise, find something more exciting to do or just take a half-day to go see the churches on your own.

I wasn't terribly impressed with this tour. The tour guide was rude, and yelled at a couple of the visitors for walking 5 steps in front of her. The bone church wasn't that impressive. We had almost no time at all to actually walk around and see the town.

The opportunity to visit Kutna Hora is not to be missed. Unfortunately, our guide did rather shout at us. This was even commented on by another guide who showed us around the mint.
