Bottom line? Disappointing
Michelle_G, May 2024
It was great to see the bunker. But it was kind of old and dated in its displays. Particle board shelves, torn netting over things they didn’t want us to see, and creepy child mannequins in the bathroom, did not make me feel as if I was getting my moneys worth. Our guide’s accent was so strong, it was very difficult to understand her and she spoke so fast. I work as an adult ESL teacher so my entire job is deciphering accents. This one was rough. Plus, she would just take off without telling any of us where she was going. If you happened to be chatting and were not watching her intently, you could easily become lost. I would mention her by name but she never told us. I did appreciate her personal stories about growing up under communism. Bunker space was very tight. Needed a much smaller group to be able to see what the guide was referring to. And the guide didn’t give us time to see it when she was done speed talking.
A great tour

Excellent tour with a very knowledgeable guide. Especially good since he lived through the era and had first hand experience of the horrors. And excellent English!
Confusing guide and underwhelmed
Kim_H, Apr 2024
I read a lot of reviews on this place prior to visiting and I was very excited for this experience. It was completely underwhelming. Our guide made no sense and contradicted himself several times. Also going into side tangents on random topics. I don’t know if this was a off situation but mine was terrible.
A tour worth taking!
Joanna_T, Apr 2024
Our tour guide was informative and well prepared! She gave us background and explained the historic significance of certain spots in the city before taking us down into the bunkers. This was so amazing, and she was willing to answer all our questions. We even got to try on uniforms! Really enjoyed this tour!
Tour worth taking!

Our tour guide was very informative and well prepared. She also was open to answering any questions we had. Going down into the bunkers was so interesting. And we even tried on uniforms! This was a great tour!
Super interesting tour!

Lada was awesome! He really brought it to life with personal experience, great storytelling, and a charming sense of humour. Thank you for a great afternoon!
Great tour
Sarah_W, Apr 2024
Maxim was a fantastic guide. He was engaging and obviously passionate about his subject. I particularly appreciated how he presented the information as little stories that were all part of a bigger story, making it easy to remember. The tour was interesting and informative, and gave a good overview of how communism gained a foothold in the country, how people were affected by it, how they reacted and how it ended.
Great time, totally recommended.
Mark_M, Apr 2024
Maki was a great guide, answer all of our questions and had a great attitude. The tour was very interesting, and the bunker was a great experience.
Very Interesting and Informative Tour
Oleg_D, Apr 2024

Worthwhile Tour
Bradley_S, Apr 2024
Our guide, Nada, who grew up in Prague and experienced firsthand the oppression of living with the communist ideals provided a very realistic, yet at times very cynical, tour. The history of how the Soviets took control of the Czechoslovakia and then enforced their unwanted ideals upon them was interesting yet sad. The Nuclear Bunker was an eye opener, especially when you were told of what they would endure if they ever really had to use the bunker. I thoroughly recommend the tour to anyone visiting Prague!
Enthusiasm brings Czech history alive
David_I, Apr 2024
Interesting, educational, and entertaining tour. Maxim has a wealth of historical knowledge, is a dynamic speaker, and was easy to hear. His enthusiasm for the topic and the group is wonderful. Perfect pace. Take this tour to get perspective on how communism came and went, not for sightseeing. The bunker itself is good to see as a concrete reminder (literally) of the cold wat era, but it was Maxim's stories that made it interesting. Would definitely recommend this tour (after you have had an Old Town Prague sightseeing tour) to dive a little deeper into this part hlof history.
Something different to do/ another side to Prague!
sozzle73, Apr 2024
A very informative trip - our tour guide L was very passionate about his subject and told some great stories from his childhood.
Awesome experimece and guide!
Richard_D, Apr 2024
Our guide Susana was born and raised in Prague. Not only was she an excellent guide, but her personal experiences growing up under Communism and the change in the 80s and 90s really brought home the purpose of the bunkers in the first place. She was awesome and the tour was great!
App malfunction leads to disappointment
Katheleen_E, Mar 2024
We used the app link to get directions to the starting point which malfunctioned somehow and took us to the wrong spot This meant unfortunately we missed the tour. We contacted the tour operator and Viator right away and when asked to rebook the tour for the next day given the apps malfunction (we did not ask for a refund, we honestly wanted to go on the tour) we were told no unless we could provide documentation of where we had gone as the mistaken starting point. Obviously we could not do that as we were using the app. We are very disappointed in the lack of understanding given this was following the app provided and being in a country we are not familiar with we did not realize we were in the wrong area until it was too late.
Totally worth the money.
Geoff_C, Mar 2024
Our guide was excellent. Provided a lot of information and history including his personal experience through the communist period.
Very interesting and sad history of Prague
Bert_P, Mar 2024
This was a very interesting tour and sad to learn about the darker times of Prague when it was under a dictatorship. The bunker tour was also very interesting and quite an eye-opener. This is a part of Prague I know very little about.
Interesting tour
Johann_G, Mar 2024
Very interesting tour and Pavel the your guide (hopefully that's how his name is spelt!) was very informative. Recommended!
Fascinating history
Susanna_P, Mar 2024

Excellent!
Karen_B, Mar 2024
Lada was incredible, even his own story is amazing! It was a good, but had subject to explore. I would recommend this tour to anyone that wants to understand history and that we not repeat it.
Well worth the money
Carole_T, Mar 2024
Inside the bunker was a great experience . Thought the bunker would be near to city center and surprised we had to take a tram as well as walking to get there
