Overview

Prague has a history of winemaking dating back to medieval times but many travelers don’t realise that there are still vineyards in the city. On this tour, enjoy a guided tour of the Troja Chateau vineyards and Grebovka Wine Cellar, learn about the winemaking process, and sample a selection of regional wines. Fun wine tour with Andrea.

Andrea was an amazing wine tour guide. We loved spending the day with her. The bubbles in the garden to start the tour and then finishing in the cellar at the winery in the botanical garden was a great experience. We all loved it and would certainly recommend taking the tour if you wanted to enjoy Czech wine.

Wonderful Tour!

What an amazing tour! We were a group of 7 and we believe this tour was the highlight of our trip to Prague. And what a treat it was to have as our tour guide, Gabriel, a true sommelier! We learned so much about wine making, bottling, and even about corks! Gabriel was very accommodating to my mother-in-law, who walks with a cane. I highly recommend this tour, and, if possible, ask for Gabriel. It is evident he knows his stuff and he enjoys it too!

If I could give this tour more than a five I would. My daughter and I were treated to a wonderful experience traveling with Andrea. She was so lovely and very informative about the history of Czech Republic and of course their wines. The views were beautiful and Andrea pointed out interesting landmarks. The gardens and vineyards were breathtaking and of course having a private tasting was so special. Learned about different types of wines and was pleasantly surprised by the Riesling that was so delicious. Thanks to Andrea it was our favorite day in Prague.

Nice Break from Busy Tourist Areas!!

We had a lovely trip with our guide Betty and enjoyed our winery and park tour, although I mistakenly thought we were headed to a more rural location for the winery visit. I was also expecting the wine tasting to be conducted by a sommelier as opposed to our guide. But this was based on our prior experience in Canada, the U.S., France and Italy. I don’t know what is normal for this region. In the end, we both still had a great time and it was worth it to get away from the downtown crowds for several hours. Betty was a delight!

I notified Andrea a few days before the tour to let her know I would not be able to eat the snacks they were providing, they went out of their way to bring me vegan snacks, so very thoughtful! Our guide Gabriel was great, at the end of the tour he informed us we were his first clients that he took out on his out, we did not know. We tried some, easy drinking wines. My only negative comment would be, I wish there was more focus on the wine, I wish if possible we were able to go to more than one winery.

Wonderful wine tasting

We booked this tour on very short notice, and Isabelle worked so hard to put it together last minute. What a surprise to see vineyards within the city itself of Prague. We had more than enough product to test and learned so much. Isabelle is a true wine expert willing to teach you about the growing, processing tastinng of wine. We enjoyed our time with Isabelle and would love to visit her again.

Highly recommend this tour! The botanical gardens were gorgeous and the vineyard was amazing. Walking through the vines and tasting the grapes was an experience I will never forget! The private tasting and tour in the wine cellar was perfect, and Isabelle was so friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our day with her as much as we enjoyed the tour.

This was a really unique tour, lead by Andrea who has studied the subject of wine intensively. She took us first to a beautiful garden where we enjoyed some sparkling wine and fabulous views of the city. Then it was off to a small boutique winery hidden on a hill in the city, followed by our final stop in a wine cellar. If you like wine, you don't want to miss this.
