VILLA MARINA, FAJARDO. Check in is at 8:15 am at Barefoot IV Catamaran, 200Avenida Marina View, Carr. 987 Km 1.3 Saldineras, Villa Marina, Fajardo, PR 00738. When you arrive at the marina you'll see boats to the left. Keep straight until you see a Castillo Tours sign. Street parking is available.

What To Expect

Whether you’re a beach bum in search of that perfect stretch of sand, or just looking for the perfect reef adventure, this Puerto Rico catamaran excursion is sure to delight. Indulge yourself with a fun catamaran cruise to serene Icacos island for a day of swimming, underwater exploration and relaxation.

Make your own way to the catamaran’s departure point in Fajardo. From there, the catamaran proceeds east to the idyllic island of Icacos. Once anchored, spend the rest of your morning on the island as you wish, strolling the beach, searching for shells, snorkeling, or swimming in the aquamarine waters just offshore.

Head back to the catamaran for a midday lunch break. Lunch consists of a pre-made lunch box. You can either choose a Turkey or Veggie wrap (veggie upon 48-hour prior request), pasta salad, chips, cookies, plus bottled water, sodas, pina coladas, and rum drink pouches.

Spend some more time relaxing or snorkeling before returning to the dock in Fajardo.

The drive to Villa Marina is about 1 to 1 1/2 hours from San Juan. Check in is at 8:15am (latest 8:30am) at the dock.
We need to be informed in advance by phone if you are bringing a certified service dog. Dog must have service dog tag/ID.
To request a vegetarian lunch or if you have other dietary restrictions, please contact local operator immediately after booking
Minimum age is 4 years old. We will require proof of age.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

This was the single best experience of my life. If you are on the fence about going, definitely commit! It’s great for families with kids, college students, and older couples. It was the perfect length and the guides were extremely attentive. Not to mention how beautiful the scenery was and how fun the boat was. There is a bathroom on the boat and plenty of food/drinks were provided. Keep an eye out for dolphins!

Absolutely an incredible experience from start to finish. Eli, Marcos, D’Antany, and Robert were all super, friendly and attentive to any needs and requests of all passengers. Of course they put safety first and the catamaran was clean and kept that way. An unforgettable day and adventure.

The Castillo Crew was awesome (Danthony, Marcos, Eli, and Captain Robert)! They were all super attentive and made sure that safety was top priority. They kept our cups full and the vibes up. Also the bathroom on the boat was clean and functional - I was soooo impressed by that! The island was gorgeous and really glad to have the time on the beach, as well as the snorkeling area. I would absolutely do this again and have been recommending to all my friends !! Thank you for making my birthday special fellas !!

This was the perfect day! The crew, music, drinks, food (sandwiches, pasta, salad, and chips) were great. Icacos is breathtaking! Perfect for snorkeling. I would recommend this tour to all swimmers and non swimmers. Life vest are available for those that’s can’t swim like me.

If your thinking of booking! Just book it! It was worth every penny, captain Robert, Anthony and the rest of the crew were great! The drinks just kept coming, lunch provided was good. The beach was beautiful, we stood there a few hours & was taken a few mins away for the snorkeling (gear provided). Totally recommend

This excursion was probably the best part of my trip to Puerto Rico. Icacos is incredible! The tour was worth every penny. The staff was so great, the drinks kept coming, the food provided was good, music was a vibe. Great for all kinds of group types, including kids. We were on the beach for a few hours and then they took us off shore to snorkel (gear provided). You can also bring your own snacks/food/drinks. I can’t wait to go again when I come back.

Sailing, sea, sand and sun!! Perfect combination and even though we had a rain shower the crew were top notch in keeping it fun. Marcos, Adrian, Robert and Eli were the best hosts and navigators of our excursion. Efficient, timely and friendly. I would recommend this excursion and I would take it again. We had a great experience with Viator also.

The crew was amazing! Forgive me if I get the names wrong or leave anyone out, Captain Robert, Marcos and Anthony were all great! Very welcoming and made sure everyone was having a good time -- and always had a drink in hand! The boat was nice, lunch was good, the beach was beautiful and the snorkeling fun! The water was a little rough from the wind, but they don't control the weather so you can't fault fault them for that! The only thing that would've made it better for me, personally, is if there was more time snorkeling. 10/10 recommend and would do again! Thanks for the good time!

Fun experience but room for improvement

This experience was pretty good, but there were a few things I wish they’d done differently. The boat boarded and left later than was communicated in the instructions, and we were one of the last catamarans to arrive at Icacos, which resulted in us idling off the coast for ~20 minutes while the captain tried to find a suitable place to anchor. They also didn’t have a sufficient number of snorkel fins for kids on board. Seems like it would be simple enough to see the breakdown of guests for each trip and plan accordingly, but unfortunately that didn’t happen, which meant that my kids had to go without fins in pretty rough waters for snorkeling.

They are stored and given at the dock so everyone can try them on and exchange if they don't fit well. On the dock we have a large storage with plenty of fins in different sizes. That's why we remind everyone to get to the dock no later then 8:30 am to ensure proper check in before departing. Nice to hear that you had a fun experience.

This trip was a beautiful start to our vacation. The crew was friendly, the drinks were plentiful, and the beach was beautiful. Only a 4-star rating because the snorkeling area was a little rough with heavy currents.
