Too much history not enough points of interest

Francis was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about history. But he really didn't give me the information I thought I would get on this tour! And the advertised tour of 2 hours was 2 3/4!! Too long

We booked this tour through Viator on the recommendation of friends. For Quebec City, Viator subcontracts with Quebec Voir Tours. Our guide was Paul, and both he and the 2-hour tour were superb. Something that really stood out was how he tied the specific sites we visited to his extensive knowledge of Canadian and Quebecois history. It was fascinating, and the walking over hilly terrain just the right degree of challenging. We’d recommend it to any of our friends visiting this great city!

Awesome walking tour of Old Quebec City!
Adrienne_G, May 2024
In spite of a cold blustery day, our guide kept us warm in the lee of buildings and in churches. She was cheerful, good humoured, enthusiastic, charming and very informative! The meeting point was central and easy to find. The price was very affordable. Our guide gave us excellent perspective on the history, religious background, eateries, shopping, and contemporary reality of Quebec City. She had a binder of vintage photographs, maps and graphs for interesting background. There were a dozen of us on the tour, and all stayed to the end. Most of us were passengers on the Volendam cruise ship. We were the first cruise ship in Quebec City in the spring of 2024. We highly recommend this tour!
Great tour!

Good tour but check the weather !!
James_G, Apr 2024
Knowledgeable pleasant tour guide - very nice. 5 stars for her but too cold and windy !!! Check weather and book last minute !
Response from Host, Apr 2024
Hello James, I am glad that you enjoyed our tour-guide. All our guides have gone through college training for their certification before they work with us. We also ensure that the size of the group is small (maximum 15) so that each person on the tour can easily hear and interact with the guide. Our guides try to make adjustments to the tour when the weather is inclement, but at this time of the year especially, we can get fluctuations in temperature. I would not recommend booking last minute, especially during the high-season, as the tours tend to sell out quickly and we can not always find a new guide at the last minute.
Excellent!

Understand the history of Quebec!
Heidi_T, Apr 2024
This was a very informative, lively, and memorable tour present by Robert! Robert gave us a great presentation of the history of Quebec, the architecture of the buildings, the history of the educational institutions, and the current state of their city. He revealed the history of the reason why they speak French, and how they became part of the English Common Wealth. The weather was bone chilling cold, so dress in warm clothes in Apr! So glad we did this tour! Thank you, Robert!
