Pickup details

All hotels in downtown Reykjavik are at a no pick up zone by the city. Therefore you will need to walk to the nearest bus stop. It should be 2-5 minute walk from your hotel. To choose what bus stop, please check your voucher for the website and type in your hotel address and choose which bus stop you want to be picked from. Please select one and let us know. You need to be ready at 09:00 or 13:00 - depending on what departure you book. The pick-up can take up to 30 min.

What To Expect

After hotel pickup in Reykjavik, travel to your buggy station just outside the city. Listen to a safety briefing from a friendly and fun guide, don the provided thermal coveralls, helmet and gloves, and climb inside your comfortable buggy with your companion. Each buggy takes two people, a driver and a passenger, and the price is based on two people per vehicle.

Get instructions on driving your 2-seater buggy and when you and your passenger are ready, fasten your safety buckles for your thrilling 1-hour off-road ride.

Follow your guide around lowland trails that snake between the mountains, trundling across rocky lava fields and splashing through mud, water and even snow.

Feel close to nature as you head along the trails, and be ready for a new challenge at every turn — there's a huge variety of terrain to conquer.

Stop for photos at a pristine lake along the way, and then make your way back to base, picking up speed as your confidence builds. If you're eager for more, upgrade to a 2- or 3-hour buggy adventure.

After about an hour, arrive back at the buggy station, and then finish your exciting experience with a hotel drop-off in Reykjavik.

Please note: children aged six years and over are permitted to ride as a buggy passenger.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.

Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

Fun way to finish up our Reykjavik adventure

This was a great way to see a bit of the Reykjavik "countryside" - Artur was an excellent guide, he took us on a fun route to the top of a mountain used by paragliders where we stopped to enjoy the view and take a few photos. This was the last thing we did on a short (4-day) trip to Iceland, and it was a nice way to finish up the visit before going to the airport. Artur and his colleages are friendly and very chill.

The buggy ride was exhilarating, great fun! Two in our group got stuck so we waited for them to get dug out of the snow. The weather was snowy, with wind blowing so our hands and face were quite cold. But the polar suits provided kept us cozy enough to enjoy the trip. Thomas is a fun and energetic guide!

What awesome experience! We are a family of 3 9-yr old daughter and we felt comfortable driving the buggy in snow and ice. The trail took us up one mountain outside Reykjavik and we had an awesome view! Our tour guide Indi was great and was passionate about all things Icelandic as most Icelanders are. He even gave us great recommendation for lunch which was absolutely good! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone planning to visit Reykjavik.
