The animals were fun to see and spend time with! The rum company was good with samples of the rum and rum cakes. Chocolate factory was interesting and the tour was informative. The tour guide was amazing!! She was knowledgeable and fun!!!

Great time with the Sloths!

This was our first trip to Roatan and my husband and I had a terrific time! At first we were alittle anxious about finding our tour guide, but with the help of the ambassadors walking around the they made sure we knew where to go. Once we found our tour guide, they were very friendly and we had a private tour. Our driver Rex was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. He was very interesting talking about the culture and the land. He made us feel relaxed and comfortable. Our first stop was to the zoo, Awesome time! There were only six in our group which made it so much fun. We held a Macaw, monkeys and my favorite Sloths.❤️ our guide was knowledgeable about all the animals and took his time explaining everything. I believe his name was Jalhemd ( I’m sure I spelled it wrong! ) very nice and answered all questions. Highly recommend this tour company!

We enjoyed the sloth and monkey tour so much! The tour guide there and the trainers clearly care a lot about the animals. I would have preferred just staying there instead of going to the chocolate and rum tastings. Our driver, Stanley was incredible! We loved his tour of the island. He has been there his whole life and shared so much great information with us.

This was awesome! Our guide took us to see monkeys, sloths, and toucans.. it was amazing! The kids were all able to hold the animals and enjoyed every second! Then our guide drove us around a little while to show us some of the awesome places in Roatan. The chocolate wasn’t as fun of an experience but it was still fun..

Stanley, our tour guide, was great. Gave us a lot of information we drove around the island and spoke loudly and clearly (my parents are hearing impaired and they really appreciated that). I'd highly recommend however only got to hold the sloth for 10 seconds, would have been nicer if it was a minute or two instead.

We booked an excursion with 2K’s Adventure Tours through Viator to spend a few hours with the monkeys, sloths, and various birds. Our tour guide, Delia Gough, was the best! As she drove us around town she shared a lot of great information. She was also a great driver, so the four of us felt totally safe. She took us to the BEST place to see the animals. We got there early enough so we were the only ones there for a while until we were leaving, then the crowds of people arrived. I would highly recommend this excursion and Delia.

Rex was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide! He was able to tell us so much about the island and about his own life. The sanctuary was amazing, go early if you can our guide for that was also incredible. Personally we could have done without the rum and chocolate tasting.

We enjoyed it very much. Our tour guide, Rosa, was very enjoyable to spend the day with. We were in a private car with just her, my husband and son and she drove us around and even stopped in some places to take pictures of us. My son absolutely enjoyed the toucans and sloths. The guides working there are very nice and friendly and take pics of you as well.

Reps met us right outside the port terminal as planned 1 hour after the ship arrived. JJ drove us to the animal farm. Being able to hold a sloth was the highlight of the tour and the reason we booked it . Also got to hold a toucan and had a monkey on my shoulder and we were able to take a lot of photos without paying for the offered photographer. Tour guide was pleasant but could’ve given us more info about the animals. The chocolate “factory” was basically a small store where you see a couple people making chocolate behind glass and ate tiny samples of different flavors. The rum place was another small store where we tasted some rum cakes and rum. JJ also took us to a viewpoint where we could see the ships and to the colorful large Roatan sign to take more pics. He spoke English well and was a great driver.

Jeff the tour guide who is a local in Roatan made us feel comfortable. We were just 3 in the tour and it made the tour like a private one. Picked us at the cruise port, went to the places we booked and the rest is a great experience. And the next thing I know we’re back at the port.

A must do excursion

As soon as we could, we got off the ship first thing. We had a driver right away. Her name was Delia Gough. Deliah was very pleasant and took us straightway to see the animals. We had another tour guide that explained everything about the animals that were at the sanctuary. He spent a lot of time with us. It was great as there was only one other couple with us and we were the only ones there. We had the place to ourselves for a good 45 mins. As soon as we were done, Delia took us to the chocolate and rum factories and spent as much time as we wanted. She took us to a spot were we could see the ships at the port and we took pics and did a little shopping. Delia was easy to chat with and answered all of our questions. We were back at the port by 10am.

Wonderful experience with Rex! He was a terrific guide who made sure we went to all the places on the itinerary. The animals were the highlight. The chocolate was the least impressive part of the tour. Only a few samples and just a few minutes in the shop.

Great trip, these are rescue animals and they provide a service to the animals as well as the local economy. The guide loved his job and really cares for the animals. Very interactive and instructive, macaws live up to 100 years! Highly recommended

Great time with the Sloth's!

We met our driver Delia just outside the port for a private car tour. It's a little hectic out there, but the process was smooth. She was awesome to hang with the entire day. Very knowledgeable and wanted us to have the best experience. We first went to see the see the sloths. Added bonus is we were able to get many pictures with the Tucan's and Monkeys. They get on your head or arms and they let you take as many pictures as you want using your own devices. You get to hold a sloth for about a minute as there were a lot of people there. They are very gentle and it was pretty cool. Watch out for the claws digging into you (it's really not bad). After the sloth's you go to the chocolate factory, which was extremely busy. The chocolate was good and we bought some but again it was very busy and it's not the big of a place. The Rum tasting was fine, but it's really the view from there that is the highlight. Afterwards you head back to the ship and take a quick pic in front of the Roatan sign. If you want a few cold drinks for the drive, just ask Delia and she was happy to oblige and it's a lot cheaper than any cruise ship. :). I would highly recommend taking this tour if you are in Roatan and want to experience the sloth's because it's so much more than that.
