Highly recommend

Our guide's expertise was exemplary and not only did he share his knowledge with the group, he also provided a riveting narrative to bring the era of baroque art alive. A truly memorable experience.
Under renovation
Kathleen_F, May 2024
I would value a customer service response to this review. The artwork is incredible but a lot of the gallery is closed for renovation without discounting the tour price - and the tour was shorter than the advertised 2 hours.
Love the Borghese
Patricia_J, May 2024
The Borghese Villa and gardens are worth the trip. Amazing visuals. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable on art history and the pieces in the Borghese. However, the 2nd floor of the museum was closed, so we think he went into extra detail on the 1st floor pieces to ensure a two hour tour. His English was difficult to follow, but he had a strong passion for his work and the gallery.

Awesome tour experience. She deserves 1000 stars. Very informative, very nice. I wish I could remember her name. My old man brain....
Passionate tour guide viewing great works of art!
Stacey_F, May 2024
When a tour guide is passionate about their subject, tours are educational, steeped in history, and the artwork comes alive. Despite a somewhat large group, you could tell Alica thoroughly enjoyed describing the works of the Borghese Gallery. With a comprehensive explanation of the world in which the art was created (political, religious, economic) and with an understanding of the artists and styles that preceded and influenced the creator, Alicia brought to life the incredible pieces of the tour. Highly recommend!
Terrible service
Nancy_R, May 2024
Due to traffic, we were late for our small group tour. We were admitted but could not find the group. The acoustics were such with the number of groups that we never would have heard what was said any way. Other than getting to see the art we loved for a second time in 23 years, it was a huge waste of money. I tried contacting the tour director multiple times in the hours before with a question of a friend joining. I never received an answer. After the fact I just noticed an email in Italian, not helpful, as I don’t speak Italian and it was too late. Waste of money for the over $200 I spent.

Unbelievable work of sculpture….a must see while in Rome. This should be the priority to see. Amazing story around the sculpture.
Too expensive, then the guide talked irrelevant stuff!
Curt_F, May 2024
I’ve been to Borghese on my own many years ago thinking I’d like a guided tour this time… the guy was just talking about non relevant stuff the whole time. Most of the pieces there were barely mentioned if at all. Lots of information outside of the exhibit about other museums, Vatican etc… I was so bored and was losing my mind 🤪. As an example, the guide only mentioned one ceiling fresco after someone in the group asked a question about it before finally leaving the room! This tour was way too expensive for the experience. Even if the guide was good the price should be lower. The museum itself is fantastic. You could buy your own tickets and self tour reading a good travel guide book beforehand. I paid about 100 per ticket!! No way never again.
A great experience!

My daughter and I loved this tour. The art and sculptures are most impressive on their own but are made all the more so by the commentary and insight by our guide Alicia. She was great, so passionate and engaging, making the art come to life!!!

Guido was a wonderfully informative guide. Would definitely recommend this tour for those interested in the collection.
Should have been notified in advance.
Barry_T, May 2024
Tour guide was good and knowledgeable. Second floor was closed and we weren’t informed in advance. Gallery was nice but didn’t see the whole thing do to second floor closure.
If you love sculptures, do this tour

Sylvia was wonderful, so knowledgeable about the gallery history but also really brought the museum to life for us.

Galleria Borghese is not to be Missed
Christopher_L, Apr 2024
The guide, Mattia gave me insights into the origin of the collection, the artists featured in the collection and information about the works of art that I was seeing. This helped me to understand what I was seeing and give me a better appreciation of the art in the collection.
The guide was not...
MaryBeth_P, Apr 2024
The guide was not qualified to lead this tour. Poor communication style and lack of cohesion in relaying facts/history with storytelling left us feeling very disappointed.
Wasn’t up to par and only half was seen
Arlene_R, Apr 2024
The gallery doesn’t necessarily need a tour guide. Too much information provided. Would have been nice to have an abridged version of each structure. We were not notified ahead of time that the second floor would be under construction (this was known by tour company ahead of time) and a partial refund was not provided. Tour guide wanted extra money to visit another museum where Borghese artwork is temporarily housed until June.
