Had a fantastic tour with Matthieu (? Spelling). A group of 4 including me and my daughter. He made each piece of art come alive through explaining its history (and the artists) so you could feel the emotion. No dry recitation of dates and names. Probably the best art history tour I’ve ever been on. Took the entire two hours and never checked my watch. Totally worth the money. Obviously you don’t see everything but that’s not the point. It’s your learn in greater detail about highlights and to me that was better than a fast paced run through everything

Amazing, these beautiful artworks and all the stories behind. The painters have been artists but also rebels in one. To understand their message in their works and not at least to transfer these to the viewer there need to be an esthete like Agnese, our guide. I was very touched by your extensive knowledge and the wonderfully lively nature of your presentations. Thank you very much, Angnese. I can recommend these tour very much.

We had toured the Borghese a number of years ago, but Frederico was an outstanding guide. He carefully moved us to rooms where we both could see and experience the insights he offered. This included the room and its relation to the sculptures. He was inviting, welcomed questions and navigated seamlessly through the centuries.We highly recommend this engaging and professional tour.

Don't EVER book with Viator. They will not let you change the date of your tour even in extenuating circumstances when it would cost them practically nothing. Other tour companies in Rome will do so. Tell your hotel not to recommend them and warn your friends, family and business associates to never use them. There are plenty of other tour companies out there--never book with Viator.

Guide was so passionate about the art and sharing with our tour. Yes, as of November '24 there is some art that is waiting to be exhibited for jubilee 2025, but there was so much that she went in depth with us. Wonderful.

Given the third floor construction, this is way overpriced......

The Tour Guide was excellent. My one star rating is not related to him. The gallery's third floor was under construction and was not visited. For the full price I paid I would have expected the entire gallery. The fact that construction was underway should have been stated and the price should have been reduced accordingly. I am not happy with this.

Having a tour guide was extremely valuable to the enjoyment of the Borghese Gallery. She told us the backstories of various important art pieces. With her guidance we appreciated the paintings and sculptures so much more than if we saw them on our own. Worth every penny!
