The Vatican Gardens (Giardini Vaticani) cover an impressive 57 acres (23 hectares)—more than half the entire area of the Vatican City-state—and include a Renaissance layout dotted with fountains, statues, and buildings dating as far back as the sixth century. The gardens were a humble expanse of orchards and vineyards until Pope Nicholas III moved his residence back to the Vatican from the Lateran Palace and enclosed the land with a wall in 1279.

Landscape architect at Vatican
Great tour and guide. Was poor on the directions to start the tour at. Its way north at museum entrance. Bring covid paper and passport. We thought it was just a garden tour. It was Sistine chapel and art.

A Favorite Experience
This was such a unique tour and a favorite of my 11 year old! Fabio was so knowledgeable. He made the tour flow quickly but with enough time to really enjoy each spot on the tour.

This tour was the whole package!
Agnes did a wonderful job... great information, getting us where we needed to be, finding us afterwards, taking us through St Peter's Basilica! She was kind, considerate of our needs, spoke clearly and what a wonderful smile! Thank you, Agnes!

Papal Audience
Made for a great experience! We had a good time and got some close photos! She knew where to sit for the best views and explained what all was happening. She was also able to answer all our questions.
