What To Expect
Your 90-minute evening walking tour of Salem starts when you meet your guide at the Old Town Hall. Salem has a notorious past and centuries of spooky stories but without a guide to bring this history to life (or death), you might mistake it for a regular town. And you really wouldn’t want to get lost after dark in Salem.
Your guide will lead you through the town, recounting stories of murder, mystery, and the supernatural and pointing out the landmarks associated with them. Be prepared for a fright as you’ll hear some truly chilling tales—and leave the kids at home. Unlike many other tours, this one doesn’t just focus on the famous Salem Witch Trials, and you’ll learn much more about the town’s frightening past.
The tour ends at the Burying Point, from where you can make your own way back to your accommodation, if you dare.

Samantha was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about every stop of the tour. My buddy was very spooked out at the end, and it was a great way to end our first day in Salem.

Henry was AMAZING. Such a fun tour and really makes you understand parts of Salem that you wouldn’t know unless you dive deeper than the witch trials. Would definitely recommend and will be doing future tours for sure !

Henry was our guide he is a fantastic story teller, not only did he cover history he also gave great recommendations for food, drinks and shopping which was very helping as a first timer to the area

We loved the “r-rated” murder stories, my teenagers and I had a great time! I’d love a combo experience with hauntings and murder stories - that would be fun. You could also make a longer tour with a planned stop at a pub for a bathroom/drink/warm-up break!

Henry was PHENOMENAL!!!!! He even went the extra mile and after the tour walked us to a bar we wanted to try.

The tour guide Violet was great. Very similar to the daytime tour. Good stories. But standing outside a building that is new and built over a demolished building and hearing about the history is something we can learn on wikipedia. Why not enter and explore the buildings while the narration is ongoing?

All the buildings in Salem are privately or city owned and we do not have access. The Mysteries & Murder tour is true crime stores from the 1600’s up till now, and many of the buildings have come and gone over the years.

Lots of really good stories. Henry really made sure everyone was able to paint a picture of what Salem looked like during the witch trials, and the other time periods for stories he told. Very friendly. Had alot of fun.
