Fun and Interesting
Stephen_L, Apr 2024
Enjoyable experience, learned a lot. One bit of constructive feedback: maybe don’t have the group stand in the direct sun for a long time when there is shade available a few feet away!
Response from Host, Apr 2024
Hello and thank you for the great review! While we're pleased to hear you enjoyed the tour overall, we apologize that our guide kept the group in the sun. We try to train each guide to look out for things such as this.

Carol_D, Apr 2024
We learned that the Salem witch trials lasted less than a year. Interesting memorial. I have nothing more to say.
Response from Host, Apr 2024
Hello Carol, It sounds like you didn't have the best time with us. We're sorry to hear that. We do our best to ensure each guest has a great tour. With that being said, The trials were 330 years ago and the buildings are gone. The Witch House is the home of Judge Corwin. It's called the witch house because of his ties to the witch trials. We know the site of the executions, but nobody knows what tree was used to hang the witches. Nobody knows if the tree still exists. And the debate rages as to whether they used a tree for the first hanging and then built a gallows. We know the locations of many of the events. Every tour in Salem has the same issue, but at least our tour shows pictures we've found from old books of people's homes and locations where events happened that are too far to walk. We walk about a mile because many locations were centered in the downtown area.
Not worth the money
frank_w, Feb 2024
The guide was not good. He stumbled through the entire tour not remembering what he was supposed to say. He kept thumbing through a book that he had to show us meaningless pictures of things, and other parts of the country that had nothing to do with Salem. He was quite awkward, and the whole tour was very uncomfortable. Waste of money

Darkness with humour
Lisa_L, Jan 2024
Our guide Bob added humour to a dark event. I learned a lot. He taught me a few things I didn't know.

Lecture
Susan_S, Nov 2023
Our guide was very nice and definitely knew his history, but there was a great deal of pointing to places in the distance. I really thought we'd get to see some of the historical areas. It was basically a two hour history lecture where you are standing on street corners and straining to hear over traffic.

Interesting tour but needs better presentation.
Pratibha_K, Nov 2023
Did not like the way of presenting. Seemed to talk more to the ones near her than the entire group. She added her own spin on the events.
Response from Host, Nov 2023
If your group had a hard time hearing you could've asked for the guide to speak a little louder or moved your position in the group to hear the guide better. Salem even in November can be very noisy and active.
Good tour

It was ok
Mariness_B, Oct 2023
It was ok. The tour guide was nice. Value of money is fair enough. It could have been better if more historical places and less talk instead

The guides the experience
Bronte_S, Oct 2023
The tour was awesome! Our guide, Allen, was so knowledgeable and took time to show us pictures, and even when his mic broke, he made sure we could all still hear him over the large crowds, and rustling of raincoats and umbrellas.

Not worth the time as I recall very little of what was said.
Scott_P, Oct 2023
Too large of group, guide was knowledgeable, but delivery was terrible. Sound system sucked, too many references to people that had no lasting impact.
Response from Host, Nov 2023
We keep our tour groups to 35-40 people while other companies go 50 or more. This makes it easier to get to the locations and gives ample time for people to catch the group before the guide starts talking. All of our guides use microphones so they are very loud. The crowds start coming to Salem in mid September. A weekend in October can be witness to 100,000 people a day and you need to prepare for that.
Go with Bob!
Angelika_T, Oct 2023
Bob was THE best. Lots of information and a jokester! Got to see a lot of the town even amongst all the crowds.

We learned so much
Crystal_G, Oct 2023
How knowledgeable our guide was. We learned so much about the witch trials, he also debunked some of what we thought to be true.

Not great
Lovely_H, Oct 2023
We couldn’t hear. Too many loud noises in the same area selected to speak. Maybe because we couldn’t hear much we also felt that it was a lot of taking and not too much sight seeing.
