Lovely evening at the concert, enjoying the beautiful music and surroundings - highly recommend! There’s a lot of steps so be prepared for a little climb, but when you arrive it is worth it.

Very accompished quintet dedicated to theit craft. Quite intense, but displaying a touch of humour towards the end of the perfomance. The pianist in the first hallf was quite the performer and the 1st violin was outstanding. Nevertheless, I felt that rapport between the players was somewhat lacking. On leaving the venue, there was not a single taxi in sight and you were left on your own in a remote part of Salzburg late at night. The organisers should contact the taxi companies to provide many taxis as the majority of the audience were not locals familiar with the city.

It was a good time. The musicians who performed are very talented. As per some other reviews, the venue was small but intimate, accommodating and the sound was great. The views from the fortress of Salzburg were amazing.

The musicians were really good. It was a small set up and they could really engage with the audience. 90 mins was absolutely appropriate. The only thing many of us i guess found it difficult was to locate the hall in the fortress. There needs to be better signages.

Don’t go to a classical concert when you’re tired or have been travelling all day. Instantly calms you to sleep. The ride up was wonderful, the Fortress was amazing and the Concert was intimate and perfect for its size. Just maybe the heating could be brought down so it felt less stuffy.
Disappointing and untrue photo

Venue is much smaller than the photo shown on Viator. That’s not the true photo of the actual performing location. The space is narrow and tight and stuffy without any fresh air circulation. Sound acoustic is lousy as the ceiling is quite low.

This was the highlight of our Salzburg experience. Excellent musicians and choice of pieces. To listen to it in that setting defies description. Extremely tiring stair climb but we made it! Would be impossible for those with limited mobility.
A lesser experience than expected

Great views from the Fortress and good music. It was hot in the room. Some of the side windows should have been opened. Smaller than expected ensemble- 2 violins, 2 cellos, one piano player. Piano player was very good, but only played for about half of the first session. I left a few minutes early during the second session, to that point piano player had not joined ensemble.

I was impressed with both the musicians and the wonderful acoustic of the space. The Brandenburg Concerto no 2 was particularly beautiful and I was brought to tears with the beauty of the piece and its rendition that night. It was all wonderful.

The performance was outstanding so enjoyed the night.My only issue was access and information directing to the venue could be improved. Many visitors did the same asking if this was the concert as there was either no staff members to ask and limited signage

The concert was excellent and in a lovely setting with very high quality musicians. However, no provision/consideration had been made for the extreme heat and this includes the fact that the interval was far too long(25+mins). Little information was provided either on the night so we had no idea there was an interval or how long it would be.
