I never write reviews, but I should've listened to the other reviews because my experience was appalling. They even fired my tour guide after I shared my experience with evidence, but were unwilling to compensate me for the tour the tour guide still convinced me to go on after arriving for pickup 2.5 hours late on my last full day in Costa Rica. I'm supposed to trust that the tour guide knows his way around better than me and my quick research, right? Wrong. It wasn't until I was stuck on this tour that I soon found out he knowingly lied to me multiple times. After that, as a young, solo, female traveler, I just needed to keep quiet until I made it back to my accommodations safely before reporting. This company had reasons to fire him long ago, but didn't until after I reported. They do not know how to hire their tour guides and do not know how to treat their customers.

Hello dear user, we noticed that your threats became real, as we explained to you if the guide arrived late, you had the right not to attend and receive a FULL refund, your negligence to request a tour of more than 12, PRETEND that it was done in less and getting upset about not complying with it is your problem, an accident and a closed route delayed the time, it is very clear in the policies that vehicular traffic and the weather can delay the times, I believe, like many other users, they do not read what they buy and then they want to DEMAND or that other travelers accommodate their whims as a SPOILED girl. Unfortunately, the group you traveled with is the only one who complained. Since the others were happy and thanked us for making them spend a very pleasant day. Despite how complicated it is to arrive in the morning, but the guide is still late, you will advance to the tour, which shows that you were not dissatisfied...with the time, now you take advantage of this situation to want to go on the tour for free, eat, transport, enter to the national park completely free... that is being DISHONEST Whether someone should be fired or not is the company's decision and not yours.

Stay away from this company. I sent two messages starting three days before the trip to confirm pick up time and never heard back. I had another tour the day before call them and they gave him a time. Next day, no one came at the time. My daughter-in-law, contacted them on What’s app and they told her there was an accident on the road and they would confirm pick up time in 5 minutes. They then cancelled because the road would be blocked for four to five hours. We learned there was a fatal accident the day before and do not know if the cleanup was still in progress. No one from the company contacted us on this without our contacting them first. I personally never was contacted, and the reservations and payment were in my name. They sent my daughter-in-law a message noting I would receive full compensation.

Thank you Karen for your feedback initially they were forced to pick up time at 5:30am. which never changed, the day before they manifested exactly the same. Your money was fully refunded. I can show you with the police report the route was closed, when it is not due to an accident it is due to falling rocks, trees and part of the mountain, first is the security and certainty that activities can be carried out and then what is important to us is money. If it bothers you that we are responsible, your dollars and lack of education and empathy do not interest us. Pura vida

Tortuguero National park

We enjoyed this tour. It’s definitely not for someone with physical limitations as you are part of the crew rowing the canoe. We saw a lot of wildlife in the National park (turtles, monkeys, snakes, herons, Tucan, crocodiles, caiman, bats, fish, iguanas) to name a few things we saw. Tour was like Disneylands riverboat cruise on steroids. It’s a long day from San Jose so prepare accordingly. I felt like I was part of the rainforest on this tour which is what I was looking for.

We booked this tour a couple of days in advance, never expecting a tropical storm to arrive. We were traveling across the country and experienced multiple delays. Further, we couldn’t get a hold of the tour guide until he notified us with 12 hours notice that we had a 5:00am pickup. We told him we wouldn’t make it to San Jose by then and he was completely unwilling to work with us or refund anything. Terrible service.

Attached to our 24-hour cancellation policy, all tours are confirmed at the time of purchase. However, they never answered our call and they kindly agreed to change the day but surprisingly you don´t accept. It is not true that there are delays in the south of the country as you indicated. since the only closed route had alternate routes.
